Absolutely. The worst possible scenario for Intermarché is being relegated and then not being a top3 PT teams for the year.
Which again is not exactly impossible.

• Article 2.15.044 of the UCI regulations states that a WorldTour license cannot be transferred to a third party within two years of issuance. Since all current licenses were issued on January 1, 2023, they can only be transferred from January 1, 2025 onward
• Article 2.15.046 adds that any license transfer requires:
  • Payment of a fee equal to the original license cost to the UCI,
  • Review and approval by the License Commission or potentially the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)

It is slightly more complicated though, as article 2.15.045 also states: "A transferred licence shall expire at its original term."

So the decisive question is whether a license transfer before the end of the season will also transfer the UCI points of the previous team to the new team, and I couldn't find an unambiguous answer to that question.

• A team may formally request to transfer its WorldTour license to another structure (new ownership or merged team).
• The UCI reviews the sporting, ethical, financial, and administrative criteria of the receiving entity.
• The transfer must occur before registration deadlines (typically autumn).

⚠️ UCI may reject a transfer if:

• The new entity doesn’t meet full requirements,
• The old team didn’t fulfill obligations (e.g. rider payments),
• The move seems to circumvent sporting merit or fairness.
