It should be MVDP, how he won was way more impressive
How on Earth was Pogacar's wins not impressive?

I didn't say it wasn't impressive, but less impressive than the wins from MVDP.How on Earth was Pogacar's wins not impressive?

Pogacar
De Ronde he won by 15s. Amstel he won solo due to a car, and weak opposition. Fleche is Fleche... Lombardia is at the end of the year when people are fading and one of the top favourites fell in the beginning of the race.
MVDP
It's been a while since we have had a picture of a rider finishing solo in San Remo. Roubaix he was by far the strongest, although you could make a case on what if WVA didn't puncture. WC he completely destroyed the opposition and finished by a huge margin.
I never said pathetic win... Just that the wins fro MVDP were more impressive, that doesn't mean the season of Pogacar wasn't impressive, or his wins weren't impressive. Just not as impressive.'Ronde by 15s', lol.
Yeah, that's all there is to say about that. Pathetic win.
I'm not trying to argue a lot against MvdP but he didn't win 'far more impressively' than Pogacar.

Because of his build? Sure that's true, he's not a true flandrien, so for his build, it was impressive.Pogacar's Ronde-win was mind-blowingly impressive.
Do all the other wins not count bc they weren’t TdF yellow jersey?Because of his build? Sure that's true, he's not a true flandrien, so for his build, it was impressive.
It wasn't exactly a run-of-the-mill jock he beat into second...Because of his build? Sure that's true, he's not a true flandrien, so for his build, it was impressive.
Indeed, that works both ways. Just like MVDP winning the WC by more than 1min30s against the likes of Pogacar/WVA, as well as MSR the way he did was (imo) more impressive. We'll see later tonight who wins, but I hope it'll be MVDP.It wasn't exactly a run-of-the-mill jock he beat into second...

That Pog beat MVDP in Ronde is insane.Sure, but both races were on Mathieu's turf. He has been the best rider in De Ronde practically every year since 2019.
And the WCRR was tailormade for him too.
You can't use the time difference for anything IMO.
As expected. Well deserved!
I think it's unfair to Vingegaard to reduce his season to just Tour de France win. He's never finished lower than 3rd all season, won 2 major one week races and podiumed the Vuelta he could have possibly won without team orders. It's all about winning the Tour de France.

Having such seasons like Pogacar or Van der Poel would be enough to win most other seasons, but this season has had many heroes. I think even Roglic's achievements would have won the trophy in some seasons. Tough luck that this all coincided in one year.
It is like that no matter what anyone else says.French magazine chooses both TdF winners..... how surprising.
Or am I too cynical?
To be honest, Ronde by 15 seconds is not winning Worlds by almost 2 minutes including a crash and a broken shoe'Ronde by 15s', lol.

Like i said, no way that a rider wins 2 times in a row the Tour de france and don't get two consecutive times, the velon d'or.Probably vingegaard will win because i don't believe that they will not give again the velon d'or for the rider who won the Tour two years in a row. MDVP also deserves to win.
