Are there any forumites from Argentina? I'm in Buenos Aires next Saturday before going backpacking through the country over the next couple of months. Don't suppose anyone would be able to offer any advice on the best way to link up with the race in San Luis?! I think reaching stage 6 from Cordóba is going to be my best bet...

you mean Merlo (near Córdoba), but you only got a MTF in Mirador del Sol. San Luis "city" is the best choise (S1 start, S2 finish in Juana Koslay about 20 km from there, the ITT, not far away from Potrero de los Funes and S7 start & finish).

Saxo Bank confirmed:

M Boaro
A Contador V
JJ Haedo
LS Haedo
J Hernández B
T Vinther

out: CJ Jensen

Hopefully Sella makes a real go of it whilst he is there.

Expect Sella, Serpa or Rubiano to be in good form early season to rack up some Italia Cup points like Serpa did last year.

Btw, the shortlist contained 7 riders, by the looks of it Tosatto missed the cut as well. A shame, he could've done a good job leading out JJ. Plus, who's gonna keep Alberto save on the roads? Troels? Manuele?

Max Richeze aside, who are the other Argentine riders to pay attention too?

Ignacio Pepreya was 4th in San Luis 2010. Other Argentinian to watch is Jorge Giacinti, who will ride for Continental Team San Luis - Somos Todos.

Is the Argentina team not official yet? Or can they have more than 6 riders?

Last year some teams had 10 riders, others only 6. So, I think they will start with ten riders.

Yeah, I missed Moyano. Also interesting what Dani Diaz from San Luis Team can do. He had a bad year with La Pomme Marseille last year, but proved before that he has potential. He had some good results in Spanish amateur races and before that in Bolivian races.

But how is that fair? :p
