He is of course an agressive rider but he'll lack the experience needed to place himself in the right position to do something.

Positioning will never be a problem for Nibs. He's top notch.

Froome will ride Tirreno I think. He's on the startlist on PCS at least.

Can't argue with a PCS startlist. In that case I hope Nibs will be there too, even if it means that PN will have a weak startlist, again.

Nibbs would like an early confrontation with Froome on a ground that he knows well and were he beat him last year. If he wins it would be good for the morale. But If he looses? Vino knows better. Keep Froome in the dark. TdF, all or nothing.

aye, would prefer them not to meet in a stage race before the tour (Oman might be an exeption since it is in february)

It is the best tactic. Quintana hadn't met Froome in any 2013 race, except LBL where both barely finished top 50. It's best to stay under the radar, but I think Nibali will be considered a challenger no matter what form he's in. However, he could also be this year's Contador; lots of hype, but in the end it's all hot air.

meh, I like to see them going h2h a few times before the tour. Surely if Nibali wants to beat Froome he might as well get started early again.

I'm not sure if eventual duel of the two will produce thrilling spectacle.
Froome (or even Brailsford) has said that winning races and getting used to the leader's role was imperative of the last spring. This season they'll take a bit slower and more relaxed approach.

yeah.. i kinda have the same feeling about Nibali. I'm sure his win last year made his training time less and less because of his sponsors obligation. Same with Wiggins the year before. We know how it went down. Froome is facing the same sponsor obligation last year from what i read. So it'll be interesting if Froome can replicate his form last year. I think people are hyping about Froome vs Nibali in the TDF. It might be just a hype comes TDF. So this first quarter we should see who's the strongest among the sucks form..:D
