The strongest can't allways win. That is why we love the sport is it not?

he should not let RJ have the gap on the descent, but there is no way he can outsprint the other three in the end anyway. He has to drop them.

he was really affected by the crash it seemed. falling 2 times in one race can make you go a little soft it seems. :(

true, he also crashed in the giro, I guess some people will start criticizing his descending skill.:D

Kudos to Nibali, he rode the race well. Attacking on the climb and doing all the work in the final. Wheelsucking by the others unfortunately took him out of a chance of a podium.

Anyone know why he lost Purito's wheel? Just nervous or something?

He crashed twice? And his descending does seem to be lacking right now. Perhaps a confidence thing, or maybe it's the whole getting older and having a family thing which is causing him to take less risks ala Sammy Sanchez

He was the only one that didn't wheelsuck, it cost him
No need for Valverde to attack obviously (Until Costa jumped). Costa made a calculated gamble that Nibali would keep attacking (Given he has no sprint and was racing in front of his home crowd probably factored into it) and it worked.

Would have loved Nibali to have won though.

His descending is as good as it ever was, he was just effected by the crashes.
