.......and yet the haters still believe he can't win Lombardia

There are no 'haters' who think he can't win it. There are people who think guys like Purito and Valverde are better in a classic like Lombardia.

And they right of course. But that doesn't mean he can't win it. Nibali is fresher at this point then the two Spaniards. That should play in his favour.

Another nice result. Really hope he wins Lombardia. He needs to get a monument at some point in his career.

Wining all GTs and a monument would be very impressive. Would be the first since Andy Schleck to have won the Tour and a monument.

This year's Lombardia suits Nibali just fine and he will have a very strong team so there are good chances he might succeed regardless of who's in it and what form they have.

We ought to be excited, not rewrite history. Nibali has a real chance to become the first guy to win a monument and all GTs in a long time. That would be surpassing the great Andy S.

i'm not a fan of andy but andy is even more talented than contador, the problem is that andy doesn't have mental strength.

Andy Schleck isn't more talented than Contador. If he was he would still be riding and winning.

You could argue about the talent, but reason for Andys retirement for sure wasn't his talent wasn't enough, rather a combination of very bad luck injury wise, mental problems and a little bit clinical reasons mixed in.

Mental problems is a part of a total package called talent.

Clinical reason is the main reason. And of course that messed with his mind because he couldn't do jack **** without his old preparation methods.

Andy is a legend but does not have the depth of talent and natural ability of Contador that you need to win a GT.
