I would have believed this more if Nibs was 1 minute slower but had ridden while smoking a stogie.

Unbelievable result today

I know its a MT ITT but a gap of nearly a minute is just too much. Mind you I am not surprised by this trend from Nibali. Team Astana??? Run by Vino?? Of course everything goes! its Vino...When Riders choose their team, its who fits with my plans and clearly Nibali had major plans for this year wrt juice. Look at the TTT results at this year's Giro

Sky
Astana
Movistar
Katusha

Wow, the 4 double juice teams, nothing has changed...

What i think its funny is guys like Webvan who are sure Sky is clean just keep making clinic references on the PRR section every time Nibali's name comes up.

Double standards much?

Both are doped to the gills at the moment, but imho its pretty clear who started the arms race

so if Nibali did 6.4 W/kg on Montasio how much did Uran?

Uran rides in sky thus he's clean. Well actually uran is the most believable GT rider in sky.

Anyway if it's really true that nibali did above 6.5 W/Kg...Well yeah don't make it too obvious lol

Still the guy he defeated was samu. Now ok Samu is a great rider but what did he show of big form this year? I know we always go back to weak competition but yeah...

1 minutes is ridiculous though, it's very suspicious but imo Porte's MTT on eze was WAY WORSE

I personally like Nibali, it seems to be the next Contador. Question is when he'll bite the bad filet mignon.

I agree on Uran. He's not finding grand tour podiums halfway through his career.

I estimate Nibali's scores in the range of 6.3-6.5 depending on the factors used and totally suspect. It's a shame Sir Brad wasn't there to be equally ridiculous.

How can he be the next Contador when he's barely 2 years younger?

Whenever someone wanders into the Clinic and demands to know why people think Sky is dirty, that list should be posted.

Nibali for the double. Unlike Contador in 2011, he's been taking it easy during the Giro.

I don't get it, a TTT is the worst way to judge a performance since there are so many other parameters than raw power output.

And besides, Astana, Movistar and Katusha has no real good TT:er.

Wiggins could probably beat Katusha on his own.

I'm not sure he will bite it. He may cuddle with it, caress it, nurture it, sniff it, maybe even kiss it. On a rest day for sure, or 10-14 days before TDF.

Or maybe he's more into pasta? Specially prepared by Vino?

Pre 2009 Wiggins?

We know from David Walsh that Porte on Eze was 400W (probable weight 63kg) which, with a factor of 95% to get to FTP from a 20 minute effort, gives almost exactly the magical 6.0W/kg

He didn't, other calculations show 6 w/kg.

Don't believe Ferrari's w/kg estimates, they are based solely on VAM, which means they grossly overstate w/kg on steep climbs.

But, but.... But.... BroDeal, that's not proof! That's stringing random facts together into another conspiracy theory. We need proof. And no, I won't tell you what kind of proof. I get to make that up while I pretend 2013 is the cleanest peloton ever.:D

What I actually meant is that the new Contador implies that the old Contador is gone. Which he isn't. He's still there.

No, not nowadays. People always like comparing people using a current contemporary name. I hear various footballers being named the new messi etc all the time
