Moondance!!! ???

I think the mods banned the wrong Dutchman. Dekker Tifosi. 3 days of blowing his horn saying how right he is. 7 days of none stop – Nibali cant climb Nibali cant climb. He will lose minutes on every climb. Bla bla bla. Im the best. Im the best. Nibali will never win a gt. Never. Never ever ever ever ever. Im the best. I get everything right.

;)

he got banned?
if so, that sucks.

Don't you see what you are doing The Hitch?
You are taking text and misinterprating it.
Where did I say Nibali can't climb?

Stop pretending to be stupid. You know damn well I said Nibali can't climb with Mosquera or Anton on a long climb.

I also said before todays stage this climb actually should suit Nibali since it's only 6km and the steepest part at the final km is the only thing which could trouble him.

And look what happened? It indeed suited him up until the final steep km.

So, again, stop trying to look smart by putting my words wrong. Thanks.

Barring falls or accidents. That's logical no?

In this case nobody is right. So... go away

Besides i am saying this in good humour, because you did amazingly get the Voecker prediction right which was very impressive. So i am just a bit upset cos i trusted and hoped you would be right about nibali too. Really hoped.

Wtf? Have the mods really banned Moondance, or am I being dull and missing some innuendo or other?

Don't forget DT also said Schleck couldn't hang with the Spaniards in the hills and will never podium at a GT.
Well, he's still there and getting better.

I'd hate to hear what he thinks of Nick Roche, GT rider.

+100
We don't need valued posters getting the boot, when we have fanbois of all nationalities, regularly blowing hard and getting away with it.

Pity. Although I was getting a bit concerned that he'd sold his soul in the Bart Simpson style and become invisible to electronic sensors.

So, where has Fränky boy showed he can hang with the spaniards in the hills so far? Look at his GC placing. Like you said, he's even behind Nicolas Roche

No, concerning Fränk Schleck, each mountain day so far, including today, shows I am right about him ;)

Just because Mosquera didn't inherit the red jersey today that doesn't mean he won't have been handed a GC win any more than Nibali if the latter manages to hold on till Madrid.

edit: not sure I understand my own grammar but I hope you get what I mean.

What crowds. I think this is the contador effect.

Why the Contador effect?? In my opinion the crowds are normal because:

1-The finish line is at very few kilometers of a 200.000 inhabitants capital, and less than 100 km from another with 400.000.

2-There is a big cycling tradition in all the North of Spain, as well as in the Center. Not so much in the South or the East, where the Vuelta passed in the first stages.

Praise to Xacebo again. Good for a continental team. Had a guy in kom. Today had a guy with Eze for some of the climb. Eze gets more from them than cuddles ever will from his pt team.

That's actually a pretty good point. I just don't like to see Nibali winning because he isn't the best at anything. Just the king of limiting damage everywhere. It's boring.
And he couldn't limit damage to Anton, and I really hope he can't limit damage to Mosquera/Rodriguez or whomever tomorrow.

3-Closest stage finish to the Basque Country

La Vuelta never had the crowds of the Giro or TOur. But today was epic. Epic. COuld only see people.

I cant wait what they have in store for Bolla. THey had 1 mil on the zonclolan and thats nowhere near any metropolis. Bolla is 50k from Madrid.

I guess that last night he was a bit too blatantly pushing the forum rules boat out. If he was angling for a reaction from the mods, I guess he got it. Don't know if it was outright, or on top of warnings etc.

You really think Fränk can pull +2m on Nibali AND hold enough time in the TT?

Fränk hasn't been able to climb top 5 in the entire Vuelta. So he isn't exactly getting better.

I agree that Nibali isn't the best at anything and he should limit damage most of the time, but I think your a bit harsh on the guy.
He did attack today didn't he? It's not such a boring rider who knows his TT is better then the others around him in GC so he just sucks their wheels. He gave it a shot today and it looked good. Well it was pretty good actually with the exception of Purito passing him.

I lolled at Cuesta when he crossed the finish line. Other riders around him were swaying from side to side just looking for their soigneurs to catch them before they passed out. When Cuesta was approached by his soigneur, he just brushed him off and rolled on like "I think I can manage, thank you".

On a climb like this he always attacks, short climbs are his forté, he wins one-day races with climbs like these (well without the final steep KM part that is!)

I can't see him attacking in the big mountains. If he does, it will probably kill his own chances.

I'm rooting for nibali. but have to agree that he'll probably never be able to climb with the very best, looks like. He's still youngish, but not really young, so I don't know how much he can hope to improve. Nice to see him try today, but then he was really exhausted at the finish, and on the longer climbs, he'll probably lose quite a bit of time.
