Even when they didn't he was still up there....I guess he was lucky or something...

Why do people think you can compare times of different Grand Tours? Even Wiggins was up there in 2009...
El Pistolero said:I think VdB could've won this Vuelta after Anton dropping out. Perhaps even without it, but I don't know how Anton time trials.
The good thing about VdB is, he needs less team support then some other riders to be up there in the mountain stages.

Dumb comment.
Ney the Viking said:Oh and how about the weather? Any changes emminemt, or same conditions likely for all guys?
Ney the Viking said:I can't really put my finger on exactly why, but I would peg this one for Larsson just a few seconds ahead of Spartacus.
Does anyone have a schedule handy for the start times of the interesting riders? Eg top ten GC and possible stage win contesters?

El Pistolero said:It would be a dumb comment if Wiggins actually performed will this Tour. He didn't and he didn't have any bad luck either. Unless he performs well next year I call his 2009 Tour a fluke.
You sounded surprised he came well up in an ITT???
insideout leadout said:Take a look at the H2H stats between Cancellara and Larsson. Not sure why Larsson is so hyped right now, this course isn't even suited for him. He likes hard and technical TTs. But hey a surprise is always welcome![]()

Ticker says it might get windier as the day goes on. Forecasts don't suggest much wind.

Seriously? You slam Deignan and Denifl, who apparently had to quit due to an illness (definitely in the case of Denifl, not sure about Deignan), and you complain about not having the cards to do a tactical race... all of that while you didn't do anything to help Tondo when his position was much better than yours, but rather attacked at a time when riding tempo benefitted your team mate the most? Don't you think you could try some interesting tactics if you hadn't contributed to Tondo's GC worsening? I thought Cervélo's team looked great in Seville. I honestly have no idea who else you'd have wanted for support, looks to me like the team's best GT riders were there. Cuesta, Florencio, Deignan, Tondo, Pujol... You wanted Gustov? Already supported you at the Giro and Tour. You wanted Klier, Hammond or some other rider for the flat? I doubt it. Sounds to me like you decided to be petty about Hushovd having goals that differ from yours.
Damn, this reads like I actually expect Sastre to read this.
