There's enough of a last climb tomorrow for Almeida to get dropped with 18 km remaining, get back to the front group with 8 km remaining and drop them all with 3 km to the line.
Slow and steady wins the race.

Aaah, you were so close!
(No you weren't.)
Yes of course, if you want to win significant time, you have to somehow drop Remco before the Sierra Nevada 5% grind. And today might be the only chance to win significant time.So one bad day (hopefully) and everybody thinks they will attack him on the steep parts?
The same steep parts where he dropped everyone on Les Praeres
When he's struggling offcourse that's the hardest part, but if he's better again tomorrow I can see him defend just fine against Roglic
Sierra Nevada will be a stressy one as a Belgian, hope he can find his dominant legs again
I hope nothing happens.
I have a family visit.
Do I get a few pity points?
Team Sky was insane that Vuelta, Contador still wasn't exactly flying at that point, and they did Monachil-Sierra Nevada, which is decidedly easier.attacking from distance usually does not work on this climb.
Contador tried that in 2017, and he threw away the entire Vuelta
Everyone is expecting carnage today and I hope the racing is exciting. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I checked the last time the Vuelta went to Sierra Nevada and the time gaps were relatively modest. Definitely no larger than we see on the average 12km @7% Cat1 climb.
What is the difference this time?

The GC this year had the biggest gaps in the top 10 after 9 stages that I recall from recent years, and that cannot be attributed to the route. Check the gaps in Les Praeres '18 (stage 14) vs this year (stage 9).Everyone is expecting carnage today and I hope the racing is exciting. It matters more how he feels when Rogla and superman goKlaas Lodewyck (trainer) said that Remco was feeling much better than yesterday when he woke up. Hope this is a good sign!
