Cervelo S1 IS available in the UK in 2011. It is the same frame/fork as 2010 model. Price approx £800-900. I believe that this is the last year that Cervelo is selling this model. Unless they are replacing it with a new model next year, they are making a SERIOUS error. I know 3 people who have bought these frames since Jan 2011 and it became clear that this would be the last year that they would be available. These are guys who currently ride carbon (one of them Cervelo carbon) but who always wanted an S1.

I just had first ride on duathlon, on the way i am always crossing some prety nasty cobles on bus station about 200m long

so on my ex carbon bike that was pure pain:D, on alu S1 it seems more relaxing and better shock absorbing for sure, just first impression.
Yes i agree it would be a serious error for Cervelo.

Nice ride. Only one thing...I would wrap the computer wire around the frong brake cable. That allows you to minimize slack in the wire, since the wire will move along with the fork, where the sensor is attached. And that section of vulnerble wire hanging between the fork and the downtube is now eliminated.

Run the computer wire along the front brake cable and down the other fork leg for a cleaner look. Otherwise, really nice ride.

My new carbon gravel road racer. For the regulars you'll notice that all the parts and 2 speed drivetrain has migrated to this from my old Surly Cross Check.

Took it out for 50 miles of gravel crushing today. Sweet! :)

I was looking for P3 and bought S1 last week, just today i finished with assembly. So i sold (i think so) my carbon Carrera Nitro and return to aluminium bikes.

On the kitchen table (while Mrs. is away) just after cranks were attached]

oldborn, this made me laugh! :D
I almost bought that same frame a couple of years ago, what a nice bike. I have heard they are very excellent rides, and fast.

Trigon/Conviva marketing Co. not sure of the factory name that they use, Mega Composites maybe, same plant that does Merckx and Pinarello

Yeah, where'd you end up sourcing your frame? How does it ride compared to your Surly?

See above for frame source. Entirely different animal than the Surly, first off it's carbon, so the difference in complete bike weight is about 6lbs. Even with 36 hole wheels on it still only weighs in at 17lbs, my Surly weighed 23lbs complete. Handling is way more race, much shorter wheelbase.

TIME makes the best off road pedals hands down. Only gripe that I have design wise was the loss of the larger inboard bearing, like what we've got, to the new inboard that's the same size as the outboard. Still rule though.
