I heard they just moved to Anus, which is worrisome as that is just down the road from chez moi.

Wow! Le Tr.. du C.l du monde! Or at least of France.
Amazing

"The important thing is keep riding and be up there with the best. If you can do it, your age is only a detail, a statistic. I don’t know what I'll do when I stop racing. I really want to race for another two or three years."

How bad is that? The greatest rider ever, will only go for 4, max 6 more GT wins, and then stop? He could break all records easily if he just continues for at least a short 5 more years....

4 or 5 GTs? You think he is going to race enough GTs with no TTs? His tour of Spain victory depended heavily on the terrain suiting his talents (climbing) One long TT and he never would have won that one. At 42 with 2 or 3 years more I think he is nuts? how many more injury days that will be? What is really crazy is how much he loves the bike. Very few riders can maintain anywhere near his level of enthusiasm for such a hard game. I think CH is more afraid of a non racing life than anything and he is afraid he will do nothing he loves. My sense is he has no interest or life outside of racing.
For me retirement is a problem since I don't have anything planned to do with the next 25 or 30 years. I am more than ready to end what I am doing but I just don't have a plan to fill my days after I do. Work part time? maybe. CH can't race part time however. ERRRRR maybe that is what he is doing now? racing part time and healing the rest

HE aspires for as along a career as Ms Longo.

Nah, he's just following in the footsteps of Jens Voigt. Maybe if he gets himself a nice slogan like "shut up legs," he'll be more popular in Germany. :D

LOL. While it´s no exact science, the trend is clear. All Methuselahs decline with age, even Voigt.... Only the greatest rider ever lived improves with age. I think he should go on well after his 50s. I see great things ahead, like Master50 described being a part time rider with lets say 45 race days, but 2 GT wins each year in between them...

What a mess cycling has become. It was never lower than nowadays.

LOL, well-played. :D

Poor old Chris wasting away in the US peloton in his early years - what might've been :p

Actually a bit interested to see that Jens' best CQ years beat Horner's best 2 years. Must've been back when he was winning Crit.Int, etc
