Difficult to know about their organization. For example who are their docs ? The team don't communicate anymore about it.
Orica is based Girona, their equipments are near Varese in Italy and the riders are everywhere in Europe. For example Gerrans often trains with Porte and Froome around Nice and have a private trainer named Benoit Nave.
Nathan12 said:What does clean mean? I think someone like Dan Martin is probably fairly clean compared to Contador and Froome, but I doubt he's completely clean or else he wouldn't be competing at the sharp end of World Tour races. It's a game of perceptions, and that includes the cyclist's appraisal of himself.
I am not 100% sure Andy rode the Tour last year clean but you can see he's not the same rider he used to be.Morbius said:Andy is clean
Since 2011 anyway. He sets the clean benchmark. Anyone who finishes ahead of him is doping.

Or maybe Phinney, but i dont like BMC.
Taylor Phinney trains regularly in Denver with Allan Lim.
Christian said:I noticed the discussion here is mostly about more or less well-known riders.
But what about the unknown guys, the "sh*t riders" as Wigans so eloquently put it. I know I can't name more than 5 current Cofidis riders and I seriously respect anyone that can.
But they also matter. They make up 85% of the peloton. So it's nice and all when Hamilton says 85% are doping, but then here we discuss Wigans, Evans, Phinney and other riders of "the top 15% percent", Garmin, former USPS riders and outspoken anti-doping advocates. But that still leaves the vast majority of professional riders, that we don't have a clue about (who do they train with, who is their doctor, what amateur team did they race on...) and, when we are honest, don't really care about either.
Are those all doping? I have my doubts. Of course some will be cleaner than others, but in order for everyone to be doping, it seems that team-run programs à la Telekom, Rabobank or USPS would be required. Of course those might still exists, it just seems less likely to me in the case of teams such as Cofidis for example. But I will gladly be proven wrong!
Cheers

as for whether they're clean, I'd consider betting that they might be, although wasn't narvarro one of AC's GT winning crew?
as for FDJ (mentioned by someone else), isn't Offredo with them?
clean? I'd take a punt that Jeannesson is. He's never really fulfilled his potential from a few years back
Netserk said:What is suspicious about Offredo?...
Which leads to my next sentence in that post.Archibald said:didn't he get banned for missing tests?
Archibald said:Sure, mistakes can be made.
but Offredo's were multiple, no?
I'm sure he did it more than once, which is why he was banned.
I can't comment on Bassons, I have no recollection of his being banned for anything. I never heard of him til after his retirement, and only know of how he [was] retired.
Are you sure it was changed?Dazed and Confused said:After Bassons retired he raced some mountain bike events mostly in France. In one of these he abandoned the race but was called up for testing. They couldn't find him and he was banned. Later the ban was change I believe. It happened in 2012.
It wasn't for missing tests (just once that leads to a ban) but incorrect whereabouts.Archibald said:Sure, mistakes can be made.

I'm not saying he's clean, but his ban certainly seems to be closer to Bassons' than Chicken's one from my pov.hrotha said:I suppose his drop in performance is just a big coincidence.

Good to see him in the pink jersey
