Froome to win the Tour but miss out on the knighthood.

I thought that this would be a battle royale between Contador and Froome, but with Froome's superiority against all the GC contenders on the clock, and especially Contador - even though Stage 11 is much lumpier and far more irregular than today's time trial - I struggle to see anyone but him winning it now and I think he'll take the climbing time trial as well to be frank.

It saddens me that your reply to my post will now make people associate Froome with bad clinic issues, which of course was never the intention.

My initial reaction was the same but the second time I read it I realized he's talking about the knighthood and not the tour wins, so I suppose it could be something else he has in mind.

Since my last reply got deleted cos a fellow cn forumer interpreted A's a clinic reference I will have to spoil the fun of leaving the post open for alternative interpretation. But it would be the perfect revenge for Wiggo to make sure the knighthood title wouldnt stick to the commenwealth peasant

(btw was interesting to see how my former more open ended post apparently even let the mods drawing clinic conclusions. Reminds mé of the US in the 60s when every one thought every one else was a communist based on the silliest things. )

Dangerous to use this year's form as a guide. The Tour is the Tour.

But on 'form' it's a two horse race, Froome v Quintana. I'm not really convinced form's that great a guide, though.

My head says Froome, simply because Sky are so unbelievably strong and will come packed with diesals.

But my hunch says Quintana .He seems fearless, and he's out of the way getting ready. And despite the catastropic ride yesterday I would be surprised if Berti isn't there or there abouts...

That's my podium - Quintana, Froome, Contador....outside best bets Porte, Martin, Valverde can all do damage. Biggest disappointment will be purito...

that's a good question, i think they won't whistle him out like in 2011 tour presentation.

Very good question,imo it will be better than 2011 but nothing special.I wonder how are the people in corsica...
