I just saw the results of the ITT and would like to congratulate Mikel Landa on his upcoming Giro victory. One thing's for sure: with Aru winning the Vuelta and Landa the Giro, it shows (yet again) just what sort of cyclist and competitor we had in Alberto Contador.

Landa is quoted at 1,90 right now, a bit overrated?
Overrated as in no value, definitely, but he is the man at the moment for the bookies.

Yeah, bets for his victory were higher because of TT, when he did TT like this, is logical that bets will drop down like that but still I think Nibali is men to beat but will be much harder now

Landa is basically about to unleash hell on everyone but Nibalegend and Bala, he will win the Giro by quite a margin I expect after this TT I expected him to lose 3-4 minutes but now his last major obstacle has gone without a bump, he will win.
Pink: Landa
Red: Nizzolo
Blue: Landa
White: Formolo or Seb Henao
Team: Movistar
Team Points: Lotto-Soudal

Seriously? Aru attacked a lot in both the Giro and the Vuelta last year and Landa has never ever raced a mountain stage of a gt as a leader and you already complain about him.

Lol lets at least wait until Landa starts massacring the peloton in the mountains. I find last year's performance hard to place, because the climbing competition of anyone but Contador was weak, and because Contador wasn't exactly flying super hard either. Also, he doesn't have a train that can wreck the peloton to shreds, and there's less climb so hard that the peloton gets wrecked by itself.

Can't see Landa winning this Giro...
Why not, the rest of the course suits him down to the ground, it would take one of Nibali's monster descents to win because he'd be lucky if he can stay with Landa on the mountains, he's got to limit his loses I don't think he's as capable of exploding in the mountains as Bala and Landa

I don't see where phanatic would be complaining? I read their post as praising Contador, as Aru winning the Vuelta and Landa possibly winning the Giro puts Contador's Giro win in an even better light.

The moment when you realize that Landa is not going to win this Giro, will be my great pleasure. Because of posters like this one I sometimes question my love for Alberto. It doesn't happens often though...

Wait are you saying Valverde is a better climber than Nibali in the high mountains than Nibali? For real? Nibali in 2013/2014 form is one of the best climbers in the world, i.e he will lose barely any time to 'the big three' if any.

Don't be blue, Mr. White; I always rooted for Andy and Nibali against Contador.

Nibali climbing is usually underrated, while his TT slightly overrated.

This is still wide open in my eyes, the favorites before the start were Nibali, Valverde and Landa… not much has changed, plus we must consider Kruijswijk now, finally without an horrible first week.

Maybe today will give some more anwers? The stage is though, hopefully there won’t too much tacticism between GC riders.

I think that we can probably Rule out Zakarin, Majka, Chaves and Uran after today regardless of who we think will win

Uran & Chavez definitely out. Majka and Zaka still have about 5% of winning.

Was anybody actually thinking Uran or Chaves could win the Giro? both were podium chances at best and well the same could be said about Majka and Zakarin
