Like the last time they faced each other in the WC ITT?

That was 2011 and Wiggins said it was the one of the things he was striving to do in beating Martin in 2012. He did that when it mattered.

Going back to the Giro I remember Walsh writing about his power output for the second half of the TT and it was said by many it was quite staggering. If he replicates that over the full course this time and it could easily happy since he is putting everything into peaking for this since May, there will be only one winner.

There was nothing wrong with Martin's form in the Vuelta but Wiggins also looks good. Wiggin's has not completed a grand tour all year so he will probably have the freshest legs. I still think Phinney has a real shot at the title.

He's had excuses the last 2 years with injuries, but it still remains that he hasn't looked super impressive in any major time trials for a long time. Barely beating Froome in the Tour TT is not that impressive.

Relatively flat course like in Copenhagen where Martin crushed. A rested and motivated Wiggo will by the only threat to Martin.

Tony's performance level is not the same, and anyone who thinks it is didn't understand how far clear he was before.

you are forgetting froome finally got into a wind tunnel this year so one can't just look at previous tts to get the full measure of his.ability. not that he was that bad before. Olympic bronze medalist and runner up in 3 out of his last 4 gt tts.

Also Martin's speed in Mont san Michelle made it the 3rd fastest itf in tdf history. Considering how far back everyone else was we can't just say it was good conditions.

Nothing. Martin can easily recuperate until then. No doubt he'll be at 100% imo.
