Just to supplement the point, Viviani beat Degenkolb on every flat sprint in Dubai, I don't remember them racing together afterwards, but as for Kristoff, he beat Viviani pretty well in de Panne, narrowly in Kuurne, and Viviani wasn't really able to challenge in Plouay and Vattenfall.

Sagan and Contador are good shouts for whatever race they are in. Majka looks to be improving each year as a genuine GC contender.

Thomas' results are dependent on him not crashing out and/or being blown off the road by the wind.

Yup. Viviani is a top contender in flat, short, easy courses, but important races are not like that.

Yup. Viviani is a top contender in flat, short, easy courses, but important races are not like that.

Qatar 2016. Wont be short but flat yes, and probably easy depending on the wind, which normally doesn't affect those races too much in February - I don't know the meteorology of the region that much but I expect much of the same in October.
