I don't think Wiggins will get it as you still have the LA fallout fresh in the public's mind and I think Ben Ainsley, David Weir and Mo Farah will get it before another cyclist and if it is a cyclist Chris Hoy

Wait...what? Isn't Wiggo a cyclist? And competes in the sport of cycling? As in, the sport where you never know what could happen next.

First he complains about people questioning his performance and the pressure that comes with leading the Tour, and now he's complaining about not knowing what is going to happen next in the race . If anyone else thought this people would say they weren't a real cyclist.

Not sure it is his Scottish origin, people have no problem with Chris Hoy, more his surly attitude.

The only thing about the scottish thing is perhaps comments that he made in the past about England Football team, which some English (though not me) took an exception to me, (if I was scottish I wouldn't want England to win, I would say I don't want Scotland to win, abut as they never do anyway it does not bother me ).

I would interpret what he said as more being about Wiggins' lifestyle which allowed him to win all of those things, 2 of which were preparation for the Tour and the other came within a week of it when he had the form.

That is correct. He said he couldn't make so many sacrifices in order to win the Tour. He wasn't speaking about his "Tour only focus", that wouldn't even make sense anyway. He won Paris-Nice, Romandie, Dauphiné and Olympic Gold Time Trial.

Does anyone actually believe that Andy will win the Tour ? The problem is somewhere between "can and "will."
