Whatever, but your contradicting yourself when you support lance and hate evans.

I support Lance because
a) He's a winner
b) He supports cycling (as proven by all the increased cycling in the US)
c) He fights a terrible disease
d) He has a fun and engaging public presence

Cadel has not managed to do 3 of the above. He may have increased cycling a small bit in Australia, not sure about that though.

a)Cadel wins and races other races than just the tour de france
b) Cadel has brought major interest into cycling in AUs
c)Evans supports charites such as the Amy Gillet foundation (awareness of cyclists and motorists), Asia Onlus (supports disadvantaged children in Tibet) and supports the health and education of the Aboriginal Children.
d) People would say cadel is a fun person and some wouldn't. People would say the same either way about Lance.

How many wives has Lance had now? He's unstable and has maritial problems.

Couple of corrections: (1) Lance WAS a winner. He lost this year, which makes him a LOSER. (2) He does not fight a terrible disease, he only raises awareness of that terrible disease.

So technically LA hasn't done 3 of the above either.

Hmmm, you've only named 2, so you're not so good at math.

Coming in 3rd at 38 after 3 years away is a win. and JUST WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR!

You had a list of 4 and knocked Evans for not doing 3 of them. Well I just pointed out that LA hadn't done 3 of them either. See what I did there?

Who knew 3rd was the new first place! And I can't wait for next year either so I can learn that just finishing the TdF at 39 makes one a winner! Next stop the Remedial Tour de France where everyone named Lance Armstrong is a winner!!! Oh how the mighty have fallen...

So illogical and mathematically challenged? This is no longer any fun for me--I don't like making fun of the afflicted.

You are afflicted with hate. Hate of that which you cannot even compare yourself to.

Question - everyone likes to point out this photo like it's a failure. It's not. 38 and on the podium. Last time I checked, Wiggins aspires just to get on the podium. Next year Lance will be stronger. And Bert will not have the leadership of Johan.

A pretty good article on what transpired and some good quotes from Vaughters and Millar.

http://bicycling.com/blogs/boulderreport/2009/12/10/garmin-reacts-to-wiggins-departure/

My favorite line:

“We have the number one American GC rider in Christian and I can’t quantify what that represents,” said Millar. “When he rides the Tour (de France) at 100 percent health, I can’t see another American - another anglophone - beating him. I believe in him, he’s a friend, and he believes in what he’s doing here.”

Levi is going to be p1issed when he reads what Millar said.

Thing is, Vaughters is wrong.

Shack attack :D

Thing is, this is meant to be a thread about Wiggan's transfer to Sky. Go back to the Clinic if you want to talk about the Shack.

On topic, are Sky going to send Wiggans to the TdU instead of Swift if Katushka don't let him go?

1) If it was such a success why was your boy Lance pulling such a sour face?
2) What possible good did the Hog's "leadership" do for AC this past tour?
3) Why are you such a total dill (as in pickle, as in tiny cylindrical object, just in case the reference went over your hat holder, as most things here tend to)?

Wiggans doesn't look like he's ridden a bike in awhile. Unless it was to the pub. :D

You say that like that's a bad thing from Alberto's perspective.

Stage 5 of the TdU goes past a brewery three times, the TdU Classic is basically in a pub/eatery/nightclub zone, stages 1,2,3,4&5 are all in wine regions for the most part... perfect race for Wiggans. :D

Stop with the personal attacks or you will all receive warnings.

Susan

It's not so much the personal attacks, (on this thread) but the fact that the most topical thread, which is all about Wiggins, has be hijacked by another incarnation of Hombre spouting forth on, who else, but Lance.

Clearly, this guy contributes no information, just inflamation.

I was going to make a comment upon David Millar's reaction, but now, can't be bothered.
