There isn't any underyling argument to it - everyone just hates Wiggins.

I am sure that if a poll were posted on here saying 'Who is the better time trialist, Wiggins or Jrod' then the result would be very close indeed.

The only interesting poll involving Wiggins would be 'Whom do you hate more, Wiggins or Froome'? However, it would have to be held after Froome wins the Tour this year and has built up the same level of hate as Wiggins.

People don't hate Wiggins for winning the tour. That just ****ed them off cause they hated him so much. Winning the tour has nothing to do with it.

Froome is a nice guy, ok he's a skyborg but still a nice guy. I doubt people will hate him. Heck he's the guy who provided many of us brilliant comedy in july

I've no idea who is better, i guess Wiggins but i wanna wait for the giro. But the problem with Nibali is that he'll prob have one **** day like always.

train gives the same advantage to Wiggins and Nibali. Plus, Nibali never was a successful mountain attacker. 70k of ITT is a certain 3'00 minutes for Wiggins. How is Nibali going to get it back God only knows.

You #failed brother. What same advantage, are you serious? Nibali is not used to trains. Sir Wiggo trains with a train, that's all he does. He not capable of doing changes of rhythm, or climbing head to head with Nibali from the bottom.

I don't know about the whole watt thing but wiggins is better trained for it I guess.

But not even accounting that, it's for sure an advantage for Wiggins if Nibali attacks, like he pretty much always did in the tour of 2012 and which he'll be forced to do in the giro.

Nibali was also able to stay behind the sky train. Yet on 2 stages he couldnt hold on. That shows Wiggins was easily the better climber.

The fact that people think Nibali would have had a better chance without the sky train means nothing. Has he proven it? No. The chances that he would have won it are small anyway. They are based mostly on a hypothetical scenario in which Nibali cooperated with other riders to put time into a stranded Wiggins, which is NOT Nibali outclimbing wiggins on his own accord. And its probably fantasy anyway seeing as how the last time we saw such a stage in a gt Nibali was the one getting shelled out the back.

Hmmm... this is a tough poll. It's hard to gauge who's the best. Wiggin certainly is superior with his TT, so for that alone, no contest against Nibali. But in the mountain, so far he has been using his team to shave off his competitor. So I can't really see his skill in the climb (other than riding consistently high pace), he is certainly smart and uses the strength of his team mate for his advantage. Nibali for me is never been a good climber either. He is good but not good enough, not like like Jrod or in the class of Contador, Froome and Andy. He is like the second level after them probably. If we can see Nibali and Wiggin mano a mano in the mountain, then we'll see who's the best. At this point, my opinion still think that wiggin's skill in climbing is somewhat unknown, since so far he is being covered by the strength of his team mate.

You must have missed Airstream's posts and the clinic in general where he(Contador) is anything but loved. There is already much questioning and doubt in the clinic regarding Wiggins.
