I could see conservatives showing up at the end of the current term of the presidency as a call for change in hopes their party can re-invent themselves to the American public. But it is amazing to me we could come out of a warring tenure under the bush administration on the heels of a near-death experience to the American financial system...... and have to deal with spirited cries from a handful of conservatives on the board about how America is heading in the wrong direction under Democratic rule. There has to be some sort of brain-washed conspiracy working toward a greater apocalypse of society. That is the only rational explanation.

You guys are in control and the economy is not improving. In addition to TARP $787bn was jammed to the public as an emergency measure to keep unemployment from surpassing 8%. The Obama admisitration has spent more money in less time than any other administration in history and yet the economy sputters. The Obama administration has not been able to pass the bulk of their agenda which will result in additional Trillions of red-ink, job losses and economic distress yet I'm in the brain washed conspiracy crowd.

We live in alternate universes.

So did the people who voted him INTO office just discover his race? Perhaps not seeing a racist under every rock might be one small step on your road to sanity.

That is a load of horse sh!t. Emanuel is getting ripped by the moose knuckle from Alaska, but she wets her panties every time she sees Rush. Why is she not denouncing him? We know already.

I dunno, she gets the irony?

He got re-elected, unlike Reid, who is debating whether to pull out of the race entirely because his re-election chances are DOA.

The most powerful man in the Senate. And he has no chance of re-election. And libs can't figure out why.

As I said, comparing liberals to *** people was Emanuel's way of complimenting them.

Whether someone is elected or not gives very little indication of their attributes.

Look at all of the "people" who are behind Palin.

Nader or Kucinich would be much better than Obama but they never had a chance.

BTW, among GWB's crimes, election fraud ranks up there twice.

"But our politically correct society is acting like some giant insult's taken place by calling a bunch of people who are "retards," "retards."'

Please note that that was from Rush's website, and that you cannot quote both instances of the word in any honest way. Sorry, but you lose.

Straight over your head I guess.

Your political history knowledge is much greater than you appear to present in this post. Would you like to go back a few years and count the times this happened to Republicans?

BTW, on a world scale of political philosophy, you and almost everyone in the US is considered a "liberal." You are just a more conservative liberal. Sorry to break it to you.

Yes, you probably think the economy in Haiti should improve in a couple of weeks too.

You realize that someone like Ike was much more liberal than Obama.

Scott, you're delusional!

I am a liberal in the classic sense. The term has changed its meaning over time as happens to words. I don't think you need to apologize to me.

You can claim he was being "ironic" all you like. However, you are being quite disingenuous considering the context of complaint made by Palin. It doesn't leave room for using even in an "ironic" sense. Some people might buy what you are selling, but fact is that he used the word in the exact same context as Emanuel, as a descriptive (at least in moose knuckle's estimation...then again, she thinks her super powerful eyes give her international diplomacy street cred. Personally, I think the word if funny.) term for liberals, and nothing you have written or posted reference to differs. Sorry, but I am not making the rules up in this witch hunt, that would be Moosetits McGee.

The word began to be changed by Republicans for propaganda purposes. Google Carter Wrenn.

I would hope you had just cleared a bowl or 2 after this. Wall St has paid themselves billions in bonuses. Not millions billions. Obama gave money that was not asked for by many. Companies were forced to take TARP cash. He has run up our credit debt making it almost impossible for growth. The DOW/stock market are what got us into this mess. Make nothing and come home and watch to see what your private gamblers made while trading currency or C class paper for inner city housing notes. People walking with 10 million in 2 days selling short against stocks that are part of the DOW. Ford took no money and now are bouncing back. The government bought 2 car companies and now the best thing that happened to them was something bad happening to Toyota. talk about dumb luck. To think that a guy working in a saw mill in the Carolinas is less sophisticated than you because he doesn't have access to sushi or a subway is pretty weak. wait till you watch how silly New Yorkers are portrayed when we are shown to have bought electric chain link fences(81 million worth) around the 2 major airports that don't work. Even a dumbest redneck knows not to buy a second helping of something you didn't like the first time. Go by that hole in the ground down on Broadway and see what a lack of common sense gets you. Soon you will see that a healthy Wall st doesn't equal a healthy Main st.

Exactly. It is like the modern mantra of "socialist" being chanted by people with no knowledge of 20th century US government economic policy. Again, like the word "liberal," it is a fear word spread by people who know that fear is a useful propaganda tool. What I would like to know is, what have Republicans actually DONE in the last year other than say "no." I mean, yea, at the 11th hour they throw together some plan for health care on a website, and have done so with other important issues also.

If we had done (or not done as is this in this instance) what the Republicans suggested in the past year and a half (you can't count Bush's TARP in that because the majority of Republicans were against it), then the government would have done literally NOTHING in that time. You think it was a bad year and a half, ask Hoover what happened when he did that.

And again, for all of the posts, not a single one of you has ever provided a real world example of your theory working in a major industrialized country, not in just bad times, but good times as well. There is a reason for that.

Um, if you ignorantly use a term, and claim colloquial context for everything, why not name it "boogabast?" So, because I know what the word means in a larger, correct context, and most of the people attending a Tea Bagging rally barely know how to order from Wendy's, I am wrong? Okay then....

US May Lose Its 'AAA' Rating

http://www.cnbc.com/id/27641538/

It's obviously Bush's fault. He lent the $800B to banks befire the end of his second term. $500B was repaid with interest (although Obama pretends like Banks never paid it back to continue his class warfare tactics)

then obama spent a few trillion, raised the debt ceiling twice, and despite that it has just been raised a few days ago, it's not going to be enough.

And buckwhit thinks the problem is we didn't spend enough. How do you not love this?

As for a stimulus package, there is not much of an industry left to stimulate back into life, Hennecke said.

...and just in case that wasn't enough GMAC (Obama Motors) lost $5B last QUARTER

But there is a silver lining, Toyota has gas pedal problems, so all is not lost.

Damn you don't pay attention.

Tax cuts

aka

Voodoo economics.

Did you see that Inhofe wants to pull all the aid out of Haiti and give all Haitians 100% across the board tax cuts. Even the cute little 1 year old Haitian boys and girls.

You know how Jesus asked "What father among you, if his son asks for bread, would give him a stone, or if he asks for a fish, would give him a snake instead of the fish?"

Well these rightwing Christian screwballs will let them eat tax cuts, I mean cake errrr rocks.

Damn, I just had a tax cut for lunch.

I have to admit, it probably tastes much better than the T bagger's preferred "Chocolate salty balls."

Here is the thing, when they read your usage and think to themselves an incorrect definition, they actuall don't understand the meaning of the word. It is like bizzaro world or something. Words can mean anything Republicans say they mean and that is right because someone holds up a "Don't tread on me" flag and talks about Czars? I mean, most of them are so freaking stupid, they don't even know who the first president was to use that term...typical of that type of voter.

I guess I should apologize for havin' tue much learnin'?

Hello, wake up. Go back to Sept and Oct 2008. Near Death. Where was the Dow then? Where is it now? The patient was stabilized, but the Tea Baggers are still trying to kill it, like the Republicans did in 1929. We were in a Recession. It could have been a Depression.

The crazy thing is that if you had Herbert Hoover to offer up in 2012, that would be much better than this *** Palin.

You should have paid attention in school.

Whos lying now? Exactly what has the tea party done with regard to legislation? Your party's in control. Has been for some time. Your party doesn't need our help to put forth whatever stupid legislation it wants.

I realize your side hates to be judged on performance but elections have consequences. Time to stop whining and start performing.

BTW, I thought you guys hated Wall St. We are down about 400 points on the dow YTD and down about 600 points from the years high. True, we are a little over one month into this year but I would expect, with you guys in control, the dow would be zooming.

We actually call each other to make sure we wear the same outfit...green OD's with a green hat and a red star...or maybe a black beret with a red star if we are feeling fancy.

Whatever dude. The stimulus should have been twice the size, you Herbert Hoover ignorant clown.

I don't have the time for you. Read a book every once in a while.

If twice the size is better, then we'd really be in good shape now if the stimulus was three time bigger. And why stop there?

Oh yeah, even the Chinese have figured out they will never get their money back.

Again, fact is that the economy is improving. It just is. Yea, the numbers are still going down, which would be happening under any president. However, I am better off than I was last year at this time, and so is EVERY SINGLE CLIENT I do business with. EVERY ONE. And, seeing that I work in the commercial truck and equipment market, I would suggest that we are a bellweather for the larger economy. Sorry, but all around, people are talking about how much better their businesses are doing now. It might catch the Dems out in mid-term (and I am not overly concerned, nor upset about that because I believe the two party system has its advantages, and a check on power because of legislative turn-over is one I like), but by the time Obama runs again, he will not be the soft target your side is crowing about right now. Take that to the bank.
