It isn't issues that pushed him, he likely doesn't understand issues. He may however understand a picture of a public figure with a gun sight over it.
Or it may just be a coincidence that he went after the closest one of the twenty candidates that were pictured in the gun sight ad. Or maybe he never saw the ad, who knows?

I never mentioned that but it is a good point (those pictures with crosshairs on them). That was very stupid for anyone to do much less a republican gun lover. No excusse for that type of behavior.

This is called a free forum. Get it?

Try tapping your head next time, toc, toc, to see if there is anything inside besides the air between your ear holes. ;)

PS. It's called irony and sarcasm. Get it? Keep tapping!

This forum is not free. It has rules and is controlled by the owner and the moderators.

It is strange how you decided to insult me and do not even care to or try to understand when someone either takes your post another way than you intended or someone who has an opposing opinion.

Any moron whose first line of attack is to dismiss someone as a drunk, is immediately dismissing among others the following.

Ernst Hemingway
James Joyce
Imanuel Kant
John Stewart Mill
Winston Churchill
George Orwell
F. Scott Fitzgerald
John Steinbeck
Anton Chekhov
Friedrich Nietzsche
Sigmund Freud
Friedrich Engels
Alexander Pushkin

Not that the kind of idiot who sees that as a legitimate argument is likely to recognise any of those names.

I am going to assume that is a real screen shot from someone’s facebook wall. It does not surprise me that someone would have such a vile reaction and opinion with regards to the murder of the little girl and other 5 persons. That is sick.

The other person is worried about their “guns”. What a bunch of whack jobs.

To be honest, it's an open secret in Washington that Boehner likes parties and is a bit of a slacker. It gets reported from time to time, even a former Republican House member, now TV anchor has commented on this.

You may rightfully ask whether it is relevant for the discussion or not, but the fact is basically out there and known to anybody who might care.

If I remember the question was why Boehner did not attend the memorial at Tucson and preferred a fundraiser party instead. To mention Boehner's known character tendencies might be a bit of a cheap shot, but it does address the point, now, doesn't it?

Hitch, come on dude. Just look at the photo. He certainly wasn't part of the Red Brigade!

In certain cases a picture is truly worth a thousand words. I hope for this, however, that doesn't make me norrow-minded for stating it. I try to maintian some sense of the ridiculous (and ironic), you know, otherwise we either become stupid...or hypocritical.;)

look at the photo?????????

so when my hair and beard fell out during chemo why didn't i join a skinhead group? i looked like them in pictures............

Eric Clapton was a heroin addict..Did some of his best work during that time..James Taylor also.countless others.. Like alcoholics they were unworthy of public office.
It is very funny(pathetic) that so many RW pundits and politicians with addiction problems are excused and elevated as "overcoming adversity" LOL and such things..In the real world, someone who gets ONE dwi would have their career path stopped cold or be terminated but not these people. Alcoholics admire other alcoholics the way that bullies admire other bullies or %$s *&les admire other %$s *&les.

He left out Shrub and Teddy as well, so don't feel slighted.

The list is of great dead thinkers and writers. Strictly no politicians or cycling news forum posters. Also strictly not living. I should have left Churchill out and im no fan myself., but i put him there because he is behind some of the greatest quotations in history so a thinker of sorts.

And who is Shrub? Is that a play on Bush? A shrub being a little bush hence bush junior being shrub?

Just alcohol

""“Habermann is alleged to have made two expletive-laden, threatening phone calls to the Seattle office of Congressman Jim McDermott on December 9, 2010. In the first call recorded on the office answering system, Habermann threatens to kill Congressman McDermott, his friends and family,” said Emily Langlie, Public Affairs Officer for the United States Attorney’s Office.

“In the second call Habermann says he will hire someone to put Congressman McDermott “in the trash,” added Langlie in a statement.

WHAT MCDERMOTT’S STAFF HEARD

“Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, or George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, if any of them had ever met Jim McDermott, they would all blow his brains out. They’d shoot him in the head,” Mr. Habermann is alleged to have said in a recorded voice mail message left on Mr. McDermott’s office telephone.

“You let that [deleted] [deleted] [deleted] know, that if he ever [deleted] around with my money, ever the [deleted] again, I’ll [deleted] kill him, okay,” Habermann roared into the phone according to court documents.

“I’ll round them up…I’ll kill them. I’ll kill his friends, I’ll kill his family, I will kill everybody he [deleted] knows,” Habermann is alleged to have said on the recording.

Just 10 minutes later Habermann called McDermott’s office back and left another, similar message said the FBI.

MAN VOWS TO HUNT McDERMOTT DOWN

In one of the messages the FBI alleges was left by Habermann, he said he would hunt McDermott down and get rid of him:

“I’ll [deleted] hunt that guy down and I’ll [deleted] get rid of him…do you understand that? I’ll get the [deleted] rid of him. I’ll pay people, I’ll pay my friends, I, I grew up in Chicago just like your [deleted] [deleted] [deleted] Jim McDermott did…I hate Jim McDermott. I hate his family. I hate his kids. I hate everybody,” said Haberman according to the FBI.

The FBI says when contacted by agents Haberman blamed the calls on his consumption of alcohol.
