Great win by Kreuziger, super effort on Cauberg.Good for Saxo,it takes pressure off Alberto and the whole team(big amount of points),Roman can be awesome domestique for Alberto in July, but he deserves free role for stage win imo.
Sagan is probably in form decline.I hope these american bit**** won't send him to ToC.Like somebody said,he needs rest and switch to sprint-mode:)

JTL didn't even manage to finish in the top 100

Good signing by Sky, clearly worth all the money they threw at him. I guess he goes into the category of evidently talented Sky signings who become ridiculously bad after signing for Sky.

Nordhaug was ****e in his first year at Sky as well...

Give him time I'd say.

He punctured 45km to go. To be fair to him, he's just a domestique at present.

he tried an attack after the third cauberg but he was soon cought by the peloton. In any case he is more suited for the fleche wallone where he can be a serious contender especially with Purito out.

That's part of what I'm talking about. It was a really short lived attack that shouldn't have tired him out too much. He seemed confident but not very smart. I noticed him taking too much wind a few times. And of course he's nowhere in the finale.

He wasn't that bad. Nordhaug was 29th in F-W as a neo pro, after TV pictures had shown him collecting water to the Sky "leaders" a couple of times (Löfkvist was the best Sky rider in 26th). In AGR Nordhaug was actually the best Sky rider, finishing 45th.

And I don't think JTL is on minimum wage like Nordhaug was ;)

UCI are obsessed with globalising cycling. Well they could start by ensuring a higher standard of TV broadcast which would be better for existing fans and make it easier for casual fans to latch on. The Dutch TV company who did the Olympic Road Race (cough... HV) and the World Champs were abysmal. I assume they were responsible for the rubbish served up today.

A *RACE* needs far better onscreen graphics to show who is where. If GPS cannot be utilised for weight issues then make riders wear a consistent and highly visible squad number. Then at least, if captions and time gaps are not being used, regular viewers might know what is going on. I resorted to making my own notes.

But ideally there would be graphics showing gaps etc and regularly updating who is where.

There should have been more coverage of the chasing peloton - they were barely seen until the last ascent of the Cauberg.

The mess of the finish is highly unfortunate, and hopefully development of GPS technology (transmitter in shoe?) will lead to this eventually becoming absolete.

Coverage is so variable between races - UCI should put coverage of all WT races out to tender. Compare RCS / ASO with that today.

I've always wondered, and especially now that the Vuelta a Castilla y León has been raced again, if it would be so difficult to simply put sensors on the riders' bikes and then a couple of pick-up points along the road, including of course on the finish line, so that we had instant knowledge of the standings/results.

Lol all the money for JTL you serious.
Don't blame Sky EBH as failed so much in classics I suppose it is Sky's fault huh?, how many chances does EBH need no wonder he is turning into a domestique, he should go back to sprinting go get stages in breakaways, he blows up in the long distance's and he will never beat a Sagan , Gilbert Boonen and Cancellara in top shape.:D

Dude AToC Is a month away im sure that wont affect him its only a few sprint stages then he can rest up on the GC stage's. Then he will rest until the TDF, didn't he do AToc last year?

pretty good finale
very good ride finally by astarloza.
kreuziger very smart and incredible strong. gotta say i like him after pampeago last year.
phil not at his 2011 level but still in very good form, could snatch LBL. glad to see valverde also at his best level.

any news about voeckler? only collarbone? i hope so, otherwise le tour will be more boring without him :(

Every year since 2010, only a crash or illness will keep him away from it.

Fractured collarbone, so his seasons not ruined, should at least be able to take part in the Tour.

I also believe there's something wrong in his new training approach, which, he said, changed drastically.
I can definitely see some truth there.

Hello friends,* luck was not with me today. Fell when there were about 90km to the end, after a huge effort to re-enter the group, there was another fall in front of me and the peloton split. I was in the group behind and it was impossible to get back to the front of the race ... I ended up not finishing the race.* Luckily I did not get sequels from the crash but i will still have to walk a few more days with dressings.* The team had better luck with the second. Place of Valverde. Again, congratulations to Movistar which was very good.* Now comes to recovering already thinking in the next test: Flèche Wallonne on Wednesday.* A hug to all of you who always support me. Thank you!

still no word on quintana :(
