I am a pro mountain biker (sort of) that carries lots of things with me that can either help or hurt someone really badly. What am I?:)

We have a winner! I'm just amazed it took so long to guess that I'm a bicycle cop. And by the way the pic that Race Radio posted is not of me.:)

will be redundant once the acting manager can get all my stock sold and get my shop shut... they cant make me redundant yet cos im still off sick..

although technically i do still have the right to return to work, prior to the closure as long as they can find time to do my return to work interview..

hmm.. dilemma...

By the sounds of things, you don't want to go back, so not much of a dilemma for mine.

Go easy on me BIG Dave....when I'm not in race trim I weigh 156 + or - and about 145 in good shape.

When i'm in good shape i'm only 133 to 137, currently emulating Jan Ullrich at a rather portly 157. The "Big" is part of a joke going back 15 years when I started at my secondary school and there were two Dave's, I was the short one and the other was the tall one. But because I had a huge voice when singing, I got nicknamed Big Dave.

im well enough to cause **** though...

the branch will be closed within a month, my current sick note runs out next week.. i can phone them up next week and say i want to return to work...
i cant technically return to work until they have done a back to work interview, now my area manager has just been made redundant with immediate effect, so who would conduct the interview.. would probably take them a month to sort it out, by which time i would be redundant..

but having declared my desire to return to work, they would have to pay me..

then again, ive just done all the government long term sick forms so its not really worth the hassle..

and besides.. the wifes looking forward to spending xmas with me.. :D

Well if they helped in ruining your health, then I say go and give them ****.

Dim, heres a bit of ****-stirring advice I thought up earlier on the train. Go back to work, use the vouchers you got for buying up all the heavily-discounted booze you fancy and let it go through the till with the help of one of the workers, then give said worker 10% of the value.

Take redundancy, live happily ever after.

And the crazy guy who rode around France in the month of July. Kudos to you sir. You're harder then any of the pros. Although I'm wondering why there isn't a thread about you in the Clinic wanting to know your medical program :p;)

I'm a commercial and general builder. Been doing Government housing maintenance contacts for last fifteen years in Brisbane Australia. I like it cos if you do a good job you always get paid. No bad debts, which is almost impossible in the private sector.

Does anyone call fall, autumn in the usa?

Edgar Winter did a really nice ballad called Autumn on the "They Only Come Out At Night" album.

As I recall, it starts like this:

Autumn, the wind blows colder than the summer
Autumn, my love's gone for another

Full time bike rider in Chiang Mai, Thailand. (Retired writer/publisher)
Incidentally, those of you looking for a great place for winter training/mileage, this place is perfect. \a group goes out everyday, the weather is perfect, the terrain is perfect and you can live here for £200 per month. So those of you who have been made redundant your flight from the UK as low as £400 plus 600 for 3 months and for a £1000 you can have a 3-month warm weather training camp.

I don't know about Thailand, but in Vietnam, you get one for between $10-20 and an 'extra' on the side.
