Maybe I can now add 'bike racer' to the list. Looks like I will have one of two bike teams to race for next year. Two bike stores are going to enter teams in a teams event next year ($6000 AUD prizemoney for the winning team over a series of races), and both seem to be interested in having me onboard.

I need an agent.

Incidentally, those of you looking for a great place for winter training/mileage, this place is perfect. \a group goes out everyday, the weather is perfect, the terrain is perfect and you can live here for £200 per month. So those of you who have been made redundant your flight from the UK as low as £400 plus 600 for 3 months and for a £1000 you can have a 3-month warm weather training camp.

im sold.. now just need to convince the wife..

Well good for you, hopefully you can get better again. Any plans/ideas work wise when you are fit to work again?

dunno.. at the moment having my first christmas off for fifteen years, then look at things in january and see how i feel..

healthwise, ten days into a blitz of vitamins, minerals and amino acids and its amazing the difference its made.. (seriously anyone got any issues ask me what im on.. im not 100% but im a hell of a lot better in a very short period of time) so if it carries on like this by january could be fit and well..

then i think a career change, at least for a year or two, something a little more relaxing, less pressure and take it easy for a while.. dont know what, one advantage of being redundant but also technically ill is i get all sorts of assistance in courses, support etc, which i plan on using to the max, and now that im government sick supported when i return to work i get extra mooney so i can afford to take a lower paid but maybe less mentally taxing job.. ive been in management for 15 years now.. i need a break..

ideal world

december off with the wife for the first time ever
give up smoking by 24th to go with the caffeeine and alcohol ive already given up
the vitamins and stuff continue to do their job and in january i feel great
spend january and february on the new bike putting in some serious mileage while attending various work/career courses
and then march when the weather is better and i am well finding a nice outdoor job for a year or two..

thats the optimistic plan..

i do feel kinda guilty.. ive worked all my life and hate people who cant be bothered to work or something, and i feel kinda bad sitting here saying, im gonna take december off, ride the bike over january and february whilst doing some courses, but F*** it.. sometimes you gotta look after yourself.. no point me rushing back now, and in two weeks time being back where i was six months ago..

Hello Everybody !!

I work in MNC company as an accountant. They paid me enough salary for that.
I also manage other companies account at home. And this way I get much money to live.
Thanks.

As of Monday morning I will officially be back at work, and my backside being 43% owned by the British Government. I hope this is going to be a short-term occupation, and I manage to get a job in Ireland that I have applied for.

That would be good, i'd make an administrative error in your case and shift the decimal point to the right by two notches to increase your payout. I'l be working for Lloyds Banking Group.

Don't feel guilty about it ... enjoy. I was almost redundant earlier this year and part of me wished that I woulld be included. Hang the future, it can always take care of itself !

Stuck working for a mad professor (literally), in some crazy company that still actually manufactures stuff (I never knew such places still existed outside of China until I moved there last year). At least I get to cycle along a river each day and pass the Armadillo, wondering at the insanity of people other than myself.

I research and develop stuff, according to my job specification.

This is who I will work for next week. It's only a week's work so far, but there is potential for full-time work. I fly out to Mount Isa, Queensland. which is 1600 km north west of where I live. Once in Mt Isa, we will travel east for about one hour to the town of Cloncurry, Queensland. It will be very hot where it is normal to get up to 45 degrees centigrade. So it will be hot, long hours, but I will only be working for 4-5 days at the most, and I will have the chance to earn more then $1,000 (AUD) in the week. So no bike riding for me, but the chance to get some much needed cash.

Still not working, but maybe I should start a travel advice blog or write travel books since I am forever giving travel advice to people.
