Basso has implied that Nibali will be the team leader, and that he will ride in support of him, but he will no doubt have his own agenda. :)

Sagan has stated that he wants to ride the Tour, but it hasn't been confirmed, as far as I know. I'd be surprised if he wasn't selected, though.

Sagan's official website confirms it. Among his targets for the 2012 season should be Tour de France, Olympic games and World Champs.

The real training camp of Liquigas should start on december 12th on Sardinia. Official presentation of the 2012 team is scheduled to january 11th. Peter even dropped a hint about new team kit. It should have more of the Liquigas green color.

What a great team list. I really hope, that the race will be televised.

And where do you refute the point that Evans was wheel sucking?

He actuaally did ride on the front for Popo at one point but the thing is that some of you lot had a go at CE for 'wheelsucking'. Yes he did wheelsuck but that's what he should of done and did.

You guys still arguing about a little incident in a small race that happened a few years ago? :p

CE won by wheelsucking. End of story, he has many other wins where he didn't wheelsuck, so there's that.

Interactive/gps routes for the whole of the giro
http://teamskyfans.com/giro.html

note. These will not be 100000% accurate.. there are some small differences in distances between these and the official ones and routes may yet change. If anyone does find any errors please feel free to copy the route, and edit it. (if you do can you let me know the link for the corrected route map)

Bayern Rundfahrt route announced.
http://teamskyfans.com/bayern.html

as far as the gps maps go, stages 4 and stages 5 are pretty much spot on. Stage 1-3 im still working on. Stage one has a problem as the official map has them taking a 15km detour between Eggstatt and Priem which are only about 5km apart.. no official maps from the organisers. :(

Yet again depressingly flat. I'm not necessarily asking for Kehlstein, but Schweizer Alpe, Fellhorn or Spitzingsattel can't be too much to ask, surely?!

theres a couple of decent lumps but nothing that could be considered a mountain, and nothing close enough to the finish of a stage to cause any disruption. pretty average parcours.

still cant work out stage 1. Im starting to think the official distances one that one are wrong.

Alright, so just done a mini-project. Contenders/Pretenders for GC in the Tours, any glaring omissions I've made? Please note some were shuffled to another GT because of having to put somewhere.

Liquigas should be:

Giro: Basso
Tour: Nibali, Basso
Vuelta: Nibali?

Maybe Gilbert for the Giro :p

I don't think Lampre have made up their minds yet, will be interesting if Scarponi does only the Tour.

Yeah I put more importance on naming the riders rather than where each will definitely ride, although did try with some of the info available.

Oh and made sure Wilco was added correctly. :p

Wilco is not going to ride any GTs though. The guy is just 20. *edit* I just noticed that he's on for all three of them, okay okay, I get the joke.

Slagter is their main man for the Giro, I guess. Maybe a guy like Ten Dam or Garate as well.

Ten Dam and Garate? Possibly, but Rabobank better save them for the Tour. They don't have too many climbing domestiques, and there's no TTT, so yeah.

Slagter for the Giro then?

Slagter and Majka to do damage, ahaha. Mannnnnnnnnnnnnn.... I can't even make fun of Fuglslang anymore. The Giro field will be weak as hell.

Basso, Rujano, Rodriguez, Cunego. That's pretty much it if Scarponi has to target the Tour GC.

With one of these guys, plus Barredo and Luis Leon, there's more than enough climbing support. You can't start the Tour with only climbers plus Renshaw.

So Rabobank are putting all their eggs into tdf basket? What are they thinking?
That the Tour is the only race which matters in Holland? Which is the case.

Don't give me that BS! You seriously think that putting all their top stage racers to compete at the tour is smart? Winning the giro or vuelta would be very big for Rabobank. Considering that Gesink, Mollema and Kruiswijk aren't at least renowned time triallists it is questionable to send one of them to the tour let alone all of them
