Maybe. I still think Telegraphe - Galibier is outside of his comfort zone. The final 10 kms are pretty hard. That wouldn't necessarily be a problem in itself, but combined with the insane length of that climb, I'm not sure.

Vajont I could definitely see, but I don't consider that a MTF.

Recently I've rewatched the 2012 Tour. Really liked Wiggins at La Toussuire and Peyresourde at least. Again I don't believe his Tenerife training camps where he trained expsosive attacks were in vain. He will suprise us. I won't be strongly astonished if he will turn out to be the strongest climber in the race. All the more so Henao will be something similar to Froome in the Tour.

I don't know if that's a good thing ...for Wiggins, that is. Henao may not be as docile as Froome was.

A very good one.:p

In 3 hours it will be made public.

Say... you don't happen to work for La Gazzetta dello Sport?

Thanks, though. I'm surprised that Lopez didn't make the cut.

Even if Henao will be prepared on the level of top 5-6, it is the end surely unless Wiggins will fail himself.

can you even read? he basically sais if wiggins isn't fresh enough after the giro, henao or uran will go to the tour AFTER HAVING DONE THE GIRO of course

Richie is short for Rigoberto? That's quite confusing. ;) Obviously it is not entirely clear what he meant. If Henao is riding the giro (which to be fair seems very likely given the quote from Wiggins) then he says that if Wiggins is too tired from the giro, Henao can take over his role, since he won't be too tired from the giro. A little bit strange don't you think? So forgive me for interpreting it as "if Wiggins is too tired from the giro, we still have a fresh Porte and Henao (who won't be riding the giro)". Since that's most certainly true for Porte, it seems to make sense.

Liamito already gave the right 9 Sky-riders for the Giro, including Henao.

Wow, no Richie and no Vasya. I didn't expect that.

Maybe but they have both had busy starts to the season and they would want them fresh for the Tour. Wiggins must be happy with the Giro team.

Strong Sky Team for the Giro-

Wiggins - GC

Uran - Mountain domestiques
Heano

Cataldo - Medium mountains
Zandio
Sistou
Puccio

Pate- Flats
Knees

I suspect the Tour team will look something like-

C. Froome
B. Wiggins
R. Porte
D. Lopez
V. Kiryenka
K. Sistuou
G. Thomas
I. Stannard
EBH

No surprises there, everything had already been clarified in various different guises.
And finally some clarification over Henao.

Richie and Kiriyenka were never going to do the Giro.. (at least from the near past)

Rp was set to ride the giro, he said so in multiple interviews before pn. After the pn, sky issue the statement that there will be some shuffling between giro and tour people.

It is still a quite strong train but definitely breakable

I think Eshnar meant good for Nibali. But I'm just guessing

Uran and Henao are strong, but weren't very committed to the cause in last year's Vuelta, so it will be interesting to see how this will play out.

Sky's team looks very good with enough firepower to take the win, but not quite supersonic which would have killed the race imo.

Looking forward to the battle.

They are like uspostal, tour is their only objective. Wiggins is seduced to ride the giro by sky management simply to reduce the internal friction between wiggins and froom.:D
