2nd best. I can't remember which stage it was, but IMO it was the one in 2011 where he pulled the group alone for the entire climb, chasing Andy, and dropping Contador and most of the group on his own.

That was brilliant. Looks like he's approaching that sort of form, which is makes it even worse the Galibier has been cut

Now rumors are flying that the entire stage tomorrow could be cancelled at Giro #staytuned

sigh. bad weather again in Italy.

Snow in the mountains in May?
Who would have thought it... well aside from anyone who lives in the mountains.

Looks like global warming has changed the weather pattern.

In stunning news, weather readers are predicting periods of global warming to be followed by periods of global cooling. In other stunning news, politicians are crooks and athletes cheat.

/sarcasm

Todays finish looks like it will work - it will be interesting what tomorrow's replacement route will look like

Maybe they could have a rest day tomorrow and then try to race the stage on Monday...
But I don't know if thing would get better soon enough

there has to be a way.

Not really. The helicopter is the essential link in the chain. If the finish images are similar to what's happening at the race, then it's easy to see why they wouldn't allow it up.

I'll be very interested to see what the outcome of this stage is. One of my crackpot theories is the DS relies on the broadcast feed to coordinate the riders over their earpieces. I'm hoping the finish order gets turned upside down, like the stormy 'white roads' stage some years ago.
