Nieve is around 3min from Porte. If Porte has his typical day in next 2 weeks, Nieve will be released to do whatever he wants in mountain stages. And Richie having his bad day is more probable than Richie outclimbing Nibali, because the first has actually happened (multiple times actually), the second not so often (maybe never).

He doesn't need to outclimb Nibali to reached the top 5 or even the podium. I think he will be a Challenger for the podium, we'll see in two weeks I guess.

I have a feeling Valverde had his bad day on stage 8 and will be much stronger tomorrow. Following an AC attack together with Nibali. The latter will be dropped first and lose 20-25 seconds, Alejandro dropped in the last km arriving 10 sec behind.
Porte not following the attack, dieseling his way to 4th place or to join Nibali in the end.

It's sad that you're trying to start something, i don't know why but any person can see that you're trying to bait with obvious trolling. I know it's easy to say you're trolling but if anyone would look up your posts from the past days i think they'll come to the same conclusion, and i haven't even seen them all, just the one i accidently noticed.

snapped..
Yeah, the one who was after few minutes deleted to not to show how foolish this guy is lol:eek:

I've btw nothing against Nibali, never even talked bad about him, he was the only guy who tried something in the giro 2011 and tour 2012 despite overwhelming dominance. Heck i haven't seen almost anyone talk **** about him. He can definitely win this tour and he's the same type as Contador, he'll never give up. I don't know why you gotta start something. You will deny it of course, but your posts speak differently.

Great post.

GC rider for the stage win. Can anyone stick with a full attack from Contador? Hopefully we find out tomorrow. Another likely great stage I will miss because of being at work. CN ticker + this thread hopefully will be good though.

IMO we will see another signature attack of Contador's career at this Tour, hopefuly we can add another one already on pdbf to his collection

Wondering here. Think Machado will be marked?

Let's say if a top 20 rider attacks in Chevreres and Machado hops on. Will they let him go?

depends when, tomorrow Saxo will again ride hard trying to get rid of people ahead of AC as many as possible. Let's see if Machado can still hang there.

IMO Lanciano stage belongs here too, massive gaps to the GC contenders, and the gap was made on the big climb

Edit: of course it wasn't a GT stage so that makes it a little less

Saxo-Tinkoff to drill it from the descent of the Col d'Oderen, peloton completely fractured.

This. Plan for tomorrow: Hard driving, no tolerance for any breaks and/if they do it wont be much bigger then 2-3 minutes before the climbs. Early AC takeoff is to be expected. Put the pressure on Nibali and Astana, gain more time and we'll have a punchdrunk sicilian back in yellow.

Excellent.

I hope to see a pistol shot as I've placed a bet on a Contador victory at 13/8. Unless a break stays clear or Porte climbs at or above 2013 Paris-Nice/TDF level, I can't see anything else.

I don't think that Contador will attack from far out, it is too early in the race and they haven't climb a "real" mountain yet, so it won't make sense to risk a lot, when waiting for the last kms might reveal to be enogh to make the 2'30" back.
My prediction is that El pistolero will gain 30/45 sec on the last climb, since Nibali looked very tired after today.

This will more likely be the outcome.
