Well if the other teams are going to let Froome ride 7th wheel up the last climb of the day, who can blame Sky xD
Did you see what happened on St Martin when Valverde attacked? He got a gap of about 4 bike lenghts and was immediately brought back. And this was from the 2nd best non Sky rider in the race.

Valverde wasn't brought back. He was clearly looking at Quintana. You could pretty much hear him saying 'WTF are you doing? Get on my wheel already!'.
He spent tons of time on the front wasting energy, working for Nairo.
