Chaves now relying on QS wanting to pull back Viviani. If they do, he's a very lucky boy given the parcours the rest of this week

Sunweb and Groupama should be interested in keeping the pace up if Chaves is behind. Sky too. Merida got Mohoric and Sanchez in the break otherwhise they should also be interested.

MS cant send the whole team down when they got Yates there if something happen with him. The teams could just put the pace up until Chaves group give up or at least MS gonna have to work a whole lot to bring him back and that gonna take its toll for future stages, while teams infront can split between each other.
