Thank you. What about the GT's?

Le Tour although when RR's buddy raced it I refused to watch. Even now I don't watch it because of the commentators but I enjoy watching Frankie and James with their Tour Talk segments.

Won't Bob be upset that you think someone else is cool? Isn't that like cheating:D

The answer is here.

You thought the questioning of JV was slanderous. Others disagreed. Have you changed your mind?

It is odd. I am surprised that some here have to invent things just to get at their latest target

The fact is JV told Floyd to tell USADA everything. Name names. Same as he told his riders. HE called Novitzky, not the other way around. Lance and him are not friends, if you ask Lance and Johan JV is his #1 target.

JV made mistakes, could have handled some things better, but inventing nonsense to smear him adds nothing to the discussion but noise

Whether he was nice to you or not isn't my point.
The reasons I feel he had sone cheek being there is In relaying to the rely to race radio.

Nor mine.

He remembered me, because he remembered the conversation we had about certain ryder(s).

It was instant recognition, not instant niceness. The smile came later.

Anywho... Betsy is the better source here, and had provided further compelling insight.

Dave.

Back on topic, please.

And for the record, if there is any more JV bashing to be done, there is a separate thread for that.

I understand he was in the book, but the overall discussion here isn't about JV's integrity or lack thereof.

Which book is being made into a film? Is it this one? Which one is the Foster movie based on?

I thought it was Tyler's book The Secret Race that was going to be made into a film? Could be wrong though...

You need to get your facts straight.

JV did not tell Floyd to only reveal his own doping
JV was talking to USADA years before the statute was up and years before Floyd and Jeff
He does not say Lance rode clean in 09.

He has not been perfect. I have certainly been critical of him over the years as has Floyd, but we recognize the importance of his role in this. I am also able to understand, and appreciate, his actions more with the passing of time....but to pretend he did nothing, had no role, is just silly

Who is we?

Again I ask though, who is on your podium as you mention? JV instead of Jeff, Floyd and Tyler.

Floyd Landis:

No, I didn’t actually speak to him but I responded to his texts because he was another guy I figured ‘Okay, he knows more than most people. I can talk to him. He’s not going to be too judgemental.’ But here’s the problem; in my head the truth is more complex than in Vaughters head, and I’ve now finally understood that. (Last April), when I was going to tell the story, I had some correspondence with him - because he knew before some other people did - and his advice was, “Just say what you know about you and don’t say anything about anyone else.” And I said, “Yeah, but Jonathan, this story involves other people. How do I tell the story without that? What do I do when they say ‘Who helped you dope on the Postal Service team?” He said “Just say it’s none of your business.” Those were his words. I said, “Vaughters, have you ever talked to the press? Saying ‘none of your business’ is probably the worst thing you can say.” In my mind the truth was complex. In his mind it was ‘Yeah, I doped now just go home.’ That’s what he was trying to tell me to say.

The key part in that text is "Vaughters, have you ever talked to the press".
I think RR said that JV told Floyd to talk to USADA but not to go public with details which is something I have read in the past somewhere also, what you just posted actually seems to confirm that even though you seem to think differently.

SDS is with Ben Foster, Chris O'Dowd and Dustin Hoffman.

AFAIK, I think the rights to Cycle of Lies have been acquired elsewhere but no cast has been assembled yet.

Did you read this part?
“Just say what you know about you and don’t say anything about anyone else

So we are led to believe that JV told Floyd to tell USADA everything...eventhough what JV himself had told USADA at that stage was not much better than useless.

It's rather compelling, I agree.

When you couple that piece of information with Vaughters response:

Asked if Landis’ statements were consistent with anything he might have witnessed during his tenure at Postal, Vaughters said, “Everything he’s talking about is well after my time with the team. What can I say about them flying to see (UCI president Hein Verbruggen) in 2002? Floyd’s comments post-dated my existence there.”

http://velonews.competitor.com/2010...he-tour-of-california-and-win-it-clean_117464

Vaughters has taken zero responsibility for a problem he was well aware of.

I jest, but I assume it was Sheryl Crow's job to speak up, yes?
