Good news for UAE, but now Fab Fabio has young Pogacar to compete against as team leader.tobydawq said:He will already make his comeback on Sunday in GP di Lugano.
He was supposed to race the Tour of Slovenia at first. I guess the team decided that maybe he's at a good enough level to try to lead a tram again.TourOfSardinia said:Fabio to race Tour du Suisse according to Gazzetta

That isn't the whole, Gaviria still has knee problems and the risk of him missimg the Tour is pretty high. If that would happen Aru could get a spot on the team. The confirmed guys are Dan Martin, Costa, Henao, Kristoff, Bystrom, Troia and Sutherland or Marcato.Nirvana said:Magrini today said that Saronni hinted that UAE could take him to the Tour instead of Gaviria.
Let's wait until the real mountains start, but yeah I'm positively surprised as well.tobydawq said:He looks surprisingly good, considering the fact that the initial prognosis was three months of rest post-surgery.
This, he probably also lacks the base to do anything after potentially riding himself into shape in the Tour. I guess that means that Gaviria won't be able to start because of his knee problems.SafeBet said:Riding the Tour sounds like a terrible idea to me. Stressful flat stages + shape is not there yet + too much media attention, I don't like it.
Should ride Adriatica Ionica, Poland and/or Burgos to prepare for the Vuelta.
No way should Fab Fabio do TdF - watching him at TdS should have been enough.staubsauger said:Personally I wouldn't rush him into a Tour de France participation and stress him out. Especially because he already showed quite promising shape in Switzerland. No need really to risk too much too early IMHO.
Why is that? If he's cleared to race by the docs, and his preparation is at least nice considering his TdS results...Robert5091 said:No way should Fab Fabio do TdF - watching him at TdS should have been enough.staubsauger said:Personally I wouldn't rush him into a Tour de France participation and stress him out.
