Spain are looking pretty good right now. They were my pre tournament favourites so maybe I should be happy. I'll see how the rest of the game pans out.

Yes, Freire is paying immense respect to KloseThe Hitch said:I always feel a little bit sad when i see cyclists giving this respect to footballers, knowing full well that footballers dont know or respect cyclists, even though cyclists are far better and tougher athletes.

Timmy-loves-Rabo said:Way to generalize. I'm sure you get some footballers who love cycling.
Football is the world sport, this is more a passion thing, then respect.
Great run by pedro
That's a different use of the words "more equal".The Hitch said:im not critiscising you moon nor am i trying to correct any grammar. I only made the post as i understand you are a fellow uni student. He's having a game a la van Persie
The Hitch said:well to me, its still sad that an athlete (klose) who puts balls in a goal (and i know, risks injury but so do cyclists) and is not and is nor has ever been in the top 50 of his sport gets infinately more respect than the top cyclists (who push the limits of pain to extraordinary limits)
Timmy-loves-Rabo said:Well it's not the footballer's or cyclists fault that they get more respect from the general community. Like I said football is the world game, I'm sure cyclists understand this.
And that kind of reasoning can relate to so many things.
I.e people in poor country work much harder then us, yet were living the life they dream off etc. It's just a part of life.
Spain are really pushing..
