anybody see when/where he eventually dropped his bike?

he leaned/tossed his bike against a stopped moto about 10 seconds into the run portion of his race. I'm sure he was initially carrying the bike because the rules state you must cross the finish line with your bike, I guess he imagined he was going to run all the way there? Seems like a natural reaction to grab your bike in the heat of the moment. (I know you're trying to imply he had some motor or something to hide but this is pretty weak evidence.)

You then speculate that they weren't even asked to attend, even though you don't know if they were in attendance or not.

And then you come to a conclusion as to why they weren't there, even though you don't know if they were there.

Both Yates' had been top 5/10 in week long stage races for the past 2 seasons so most people following the sport had heard of them yes

You do know that Simon took a world's title in the World Track Championship points race in 2013, don't you? Of course we've heard of him.

That was the same Championship in which Owain Doull came 5th in the scratch race, before becoming European team pursuit champion in Apeldoorn. Then gold in UCI World cup series first round. Then a whole load of other stuff before taking points jersey and podium spot in ToB last year.

You have heard of Owain Doull, haven't you? He's just signed for Sky.

Depends, were the summoned? Or did Brailsford barge his way in? Then it would be against the rules, yes. Knowing Brailsford, he would have pushed his way through.

If Trek and BMC decided not to attend then surely it's on them. I'm not defending Sky here but merely pointing out that all 3 teams had a right to defend themselves as per the rules so if any of the parties decided not to attend then they stuffed up.

i think that's exactly what Froome intended.
He ran with his bike until he got confirmation through his earpiece about where he should drop the bike, so that it would get into the safe hands of the UCI.

What we know is that the race jury, representing UCI, met. Prudhomme was present and advocated the decision to which they came.

This is surely the wider point? We are speculating about what happened because there is no transparency. Maybe it was just media hyperbole for effect, but the 'men in a dark room' stuff does at least beg the question of who was involved and what did go on prior to the decision being made. I'm not going all 'grassy knoll' about it. It doesn't help anyone deal with accusations of 'undue influence', if it isn't clear how potentially controversial decisions are made.

The UCI inspected a lot of bikes so far but failed to find one single motor. So far they have only been found by Femke's competitors and journalists.

Yes, the bike will be sent back to Area 51, the place where Froomey will recharge as well by the end of July.
