GPS going all over. Who the hell knows what it is
It was 45s hand timed from a hairpin about 2k back.

Yup. Sooner or later TGH is going to have to take it up. Hindley can sit on Tao's wheel as long as he likes.
Tbh theres a big 2020 factor to this editionI still dont understand why they havent ridden Stelvio since 2005 (They obviously have, but not from side side). Its just a whole different beast to the weak sauce from the other side
Working out how to deal with Hindley is also important. As it stands, Hindley is almost certainly going to jump Tao for the stage win, so will be adding seconds to his advantage.Have what in the bag?
They are riding for GC, not just the stage win, so putting time into Kelderman is important!
Because Bormio did the paying in 2012, and they wanted it as an MTF rather than a finish at, say, Bormio 2000 or Valdidentro which could have been way better; Martello paid in 2013 and then had to be cancelled so they re-ran the stage in 2014.I still dont understand why they havent ridden Stelvio since 2005 (They obviously have, but not from side side). Its just a whole different beast to the weak sauce from the other side
There's a flat part after the descent where they will increase the gap again, and if TGH is stronger today (which he seems), he can take time on the final climb too. They don't need to take 5 minutes off Kelderman.
I really like this descent, too.I still dont understand why they havent ridden Stelvio since 2005 (They obviously have, but not from side side). Its just a whole different beast to the weak sauce from the other side
Someone timed it at approx. 66:00+ minutesAnybody has the climbing time? I think it was around 70 minutes for the top trio.
Mayomaniac said it was around 69:17 I think.Someone timed it at approx. 66:00+ minutes
I don't know, he might not. But then we have seen crazier things final TTs. And Tao > Hindley in TTs.No he doesn't need a minute, it's a last stage, pan flat 15km TT. Fatigue matters more than TT ability. Dumoulin back in 2017 took 1.10 off Quintana, but that was twice the length. Hindley won't lose more than 40s
Round 3: Pneumonia in the 20th stage finishes it.Round 2: Jacket zipper strikes back.
Anybody has the climbing time? I think it was around 70 minutes for the top trio.
69min 17sec ascent time (I stopped it).
Sorry, got carried away...Mayomaniac said it was around 69:17 I think.
Of course. As soon as you're having a problem either put it on backwards to protect your chest or just accept putting your foot down for a few seconds at the top. Was it Bobby Julich that crashed putting on his jacket on the Galibier?Surely kelderman should of stopped on the top gonna take like 5/10 seconds
That's a hell of a time for such a beast.69:17 according to Mayomaniac.
