I am honestly baffled by the amount of people siding with that self absorbed narcissistic ***. [deleted]

He is good enough to completely dominate a stage from a break and not able to work for the team on climbs at all? Sure…

And its not an episode but the absolute standard for him. As Bruyneel would, I would send him home as well. And goodbye at UAE.

Signing a contract extension last year was a mistake. Going to Movistar would be the obvious solution. Another option would be Ineos, but rumours in the media say it will probably be Lidl-Trek.

We'll have to wait and see. He's still a big talent, but needs to find a team where he feels at home and start with a clean slate.

Seems to me the lad suffers from delusions of grandeur and can't accept any role but leader. He's a huge talent, mind you, but not the biggest fish in the pond. His will and opinion of himself are in conflict with team agendas, which apparently is unacceptable to him. On the other hand, I can imagine trying to assert himself at UAE, with Gianetti and Maxtin naturally totally behind Pogacar, and with Almeida methodically pulling his weight whenever called upon, has tormented Ayuso to the point of loathing his cage. It's what happens when there are too many roosters in the chicken coop.

I hope the lad finds a spot where he can be what he wants. That or stop being an entitled, whiny, **** and put in the time, effort, and social capital to grow into a leader.

Being a leader requires you to have the talent. But having the talent doesn't make you a leader.

Hopefully for his career and life he finds a place and time to learn this lesson.

So you have no issue with Evenepoel, Martinez, Vlasov, Hindley, and Lipowitz having or sharing leadership with Roglic at the Tour next year? Good to know.

Why on earth would i have issues with that, the issue i have is will RBH send them all?

Because you’ve been complaining that Roglic doesn’t have a team 100% working for him for years.

Of course he doesn't, you can't seriously claim Rogla had a great GT GC orientated team working for him at the Tour 2025. Anyway, if this is on how RBH feels it should be done, fine, just send the best next time and we'll work something out.

I respect your opinion, my opinion is Juan Ayuso is a talented, spoiled, crybaby, sore loser. I hope he switches teams and we never hear from him again, gets a job at a car wash or mini golf course in Madrid, working nights and weekends.

He will indeed switch teams, hence we should hear about him for years, pay check will likely be bigger and hence a new car and some golf indeed most likely outcomes.

So Ayuso won't abandon his leader, like UAE has done from the get go. Promising Almeida leadership knowing the team won't be there for him and taking Ayuso along for the ride as a scapegoat.

Lets see it then and i will give them another chance. Till second rest day the boys should help Almeida gain some seconds on Jonas or die trying.

Good effort today. He's young, this bit of drama will pass... still time for him to turn into the next Sepp Kuss :)

That’s not what’s being argued right now. You post your displeasure when Roglic, Evenepoel 2025 Tour, and now Almeida don’t have sole leadership and everyone working for them but now want Pogacar to have a teammate that won’t support his GC bid at the Tour.

Ayuso already has more victories compared to Sepp so i will be surprised if other teams wouldn't be fighting for him for the position of their GC leader.

I mean first of all you should then explain it more clearly, on what is being argued. To the part i responded i feel you were rather clear in your claim but this last reply for the life of me it's encrypted and i can't decrypt it.

By that, Abi, do you mean you and Rogla or am I misunderstanding? Last time we spoke, you alluded to some major problems. Is this the problem your dealing with? Hyenas circling from every direction within the team?

To the part you made in bold i meant for RBH to send the strongest team to the Tour 2026, as @SHAD0W93 suggested, and we are good. As @SHAD0W93 seemed to believed i am somehow against that.

In all these years I've followed cycling I think I've never ever seen such a ***.
Young.
Got everything to prove.
Shut that trap and get the job done and work for the *** team that gives big money.
Because that's why it's called WORK.
This is no punk attitude.
This is being a *** just for the sake of it.
This guy's a joke.
Talented maybe.
But zero ethics.
GG to UAE to destroy his public image in this Vuelta.

IMHO no. It's the other way around this time. UAE, sports media and fandom left dangling with nothing, Ayuso moving on to a better place as a moral victor, bigger pay check and secured leadership position.

Roglic has to be relieved by this shift in focus
