It makes total sense. As all the praise Ayuso got, from fans all over the social media, after Galibier, we can clearly conclude he is now being rewarded. He never wanted to do Vuelta and the team has now granted him that wish.

For sure.

OK i get it, all seem to agree Ayuso did something and should learn from it. Some already see him at Movistar and cycling oriented news sites are expressing such opinion:

But no, heck no, Ayuso isn't being punished, he is being rewarded! That is what all this is, it makes total sense.

If he cannot be a team player, he should be sentenced to the next 4 years of doing no race higher than a .2

See if he ever gets another big contract

Possible Trade: Ayuso to Ineos, CRod to UAE;
Ayuso to Israel-Premiere Tech, Riccitello to UAE;
Ayuso to Lidl-Trek, Ciccone to UAE
Riccitello aka the new Kenny ellisonde is unlikely to be a big winner and physically incapable of being a useful dom. Doesn't uae play moneyball with compound scores? Little Ricci doesn't have a good one I'm afraid.

Ayuso to movistar is probably best for UAE as it ensures he never becomes a GC threat.

No one is saying he is being punished nor rewarded.

You just got it wrong or don’t understand.

Plan wasnt for him to do the Vuelta.

Team said no to change plans.

Thats neither of those things you are suggesting.

If he is mad about or feel some type of way, he just doesnt like to be told no. If he wanna leave because of it, up to him to find a way to get out.

Wouldn’t UAE be happy to get him of the books if he isn’t a team player?
They like winning though, Ayuso could just be treated like the others that don’t help the team. It’s also just a problem when Pogacar is there. If it was Ayuso, Adam, and Almeida they’d probably just ignore each other while going for GC. Only ones I can see assuring the assisting the other is Adam and Almeida.

I get it guys, it's just another of those new age things. Buckets of negativity all over but you simply can't say Ayuso did something wrong and he got punished for it. As people could get offended over it.

So Ayuso did something and now he is being something. All good. Plus obviously tons of negativity involved on the social media, that on the other hand being totally acceptable.

He was drafting behind the group including pogi during key mountain stages in the tdf. Of course he was wrong to do that

Of course. But now he is being ... Lets not use the p word. Somebody could get offended.

Just imagine him doing that to Hinault. Even Armstrong. They would have to hide and shelter him.

Are you talking about being p word? Likely indeed, back then. But here obviously we shouldn't make such conclusions. Anyway, enough about that. In a way it's a shame Ayuso isn't participating, but it is what it is and lets move on.

UAE would be punishing other riders on the team by pairing him up with them. Ayuso will get plenty of chances at one week races, classics, and maybe a GT where he can’t *** the team up.

What are you on about and watch your tone.

He is not being punished nor rewarded, as been said.

He has just been told no to do the Vuelta, because of many factors, and if people like yourself are mad about that then so be it. You are just like Ayuso then.

Because he:

1. Wasnt supposed to do it.
2. They have said no to including him and sticking with the team they have planned.
3. If he is mad about that, he can figure out a way to leave or get some perspective on things to learn from it.

That you are so adamant about that he is being "punished" or that he management are so harsh on him... grow up. They handeling this as they are supposed to and putting the team first.

We all know why they want Ayuso to take part and in future races with Pogacar.

That is your opinion, mine is he is being punished, due to his behaviour at the Tour 2024. As that didn't bode well with the team, management. And that is on why he isn't doing Vuelta 2024. If Ayuso would pull for Pogi at the Tour 2024 he would in my opinion be doing Vuelta 2024.

It's as simple as that.

So no, not everybody is saying what you are saying. I'll just stick with that, that is you didn't convince me otherwise. Especially when you arguing things like if Ayuso is not OK with it he can always find another team. Why wouldn't he be OK with it then, and would need to search for another team, if everything is as rosy, as you seem to claim it is? Why would you even mentioned it then, as being an option. Rhetorical question.

Anyway. I feel that all the reasonable people know, what is ongoing here, for the rest, believe whatever you want to believe.

Sure, but that is pure speculation on your part.

The facts are he wasnt in the plan of being a part of the Vuelta. That he then wanted to do the Vuelta and the team saying no isnt a punishment. Being told no isnt a punishment in the grown folks world. You cant or wont get what you want all the time.

The only one having a problem with this is you and Ayuso, so if he feels he is being punished and doesnt want to be a part of the team anymore... up to him to find a way out. Nobody has claimed things are rosy. Himself is causing the friction and problems here. Stop igoring facts and what I have actually said.

This just some pride and entitlement at the end of the day. His ego is hurt. The plan wasnt for him to do the Vuelta and he is not entitled to get a spot, just because he dropped out of the Tour. Seeing it as a punishment that the team said "no" is childish. Buhu, the world is against me.

Only one being unreasonable here is you and Ayuso. The world doesnt revolve around you.

You are just trying to instigate that he is being mistreated and the team is horrible, when they are handeling this the best way possible for the team. Ayuso should speak less, put his head down and come back stronger. Whether that is at UAE or another team is very much up to himself. Coming to terms with reality or seek new team.

Read this part again, for yourself, and you should able to conclude that we all really agree here, the gist of it. A lot of times it just so happens that people argue around the things they actually agree about. It's indeed a bit strange but it likely serves some evolutionary purpose. Anyway.

No, we dont as seeing it as he is being "punished" is just a very childish standpoint to take in this situation and instigating to paint a narrative that he is being mistreated because you dont like the team.

However, if he feels he wants a change of teams... then again up to him to find a solution that serves all parties. Otherwise, he has a contract.
