Dr. Maserati said:True - but it was a recreational drug (Ecstasy) that he took and not a PED - except for bogeying the night away in a German nightclub - he wasn't racing at the time as he was out injured.

its people like you who would rather see the sport of cycling go down the tubes, than work through it, and get some respect back in the sport.
do you actually ride a bike? im guessing you do, and are not very good at it.
it might explain your attitude round here.

eleven said:Why in the world would Landis come forward with all of this...yet still stick by his story about the 2006 TdF test being wrong? That's just, well - that's insane.
" said:“All this proves is that he’s a liar: he has stood up in court and denied these things,” McQuaid said. “He’s got absolutely no credibility. I’m annoyed at something like this” coming out during the Tour of California, he added.

No, not really. As someone mentioned earlier in the thread Ben Johnson admitted that he was on PEDs - I think it was during the Dubin Inquiry - but not the stanozolol they found in his urine sample at the Seoul Olympics.eleven said:Why in the world would Landis come forward with all of this...yet still stick by his story about the 2006 TdF test being wrong? eleven said:1. Lots of cyclists doped.
2. Armstrong doped.
3. Landis doped. Except, of course, when Landis failed a drug test in 2006 - then, he was clean
4. Rinse, repeat.

But it was media pressure that ruined both Ullrich & Pantanai because they were pulled from events Giro 99 & Tour'06.
Lance will not get to ride this Tour - somewhere there is a crack, probably Garmin or BMC will withdraw riders, forcing TRS to do likewise - in the media thats guilty.
You're right about Betsy - but all she ever wanted to do was tell the truth and move on - of course LA painted her as a 'hater', but she successfully sued 'The Guardian' when they published a piece where Lance called her a liar. But the media in the US didn't cover that.
With Floyd this will be a different event.
