Looks like Lef wasn't happy after Dubai.

Without Henao up there, EBH would probably have won the race.
Perhaps, but we don't know how strong he was up Puig Major. Either way, it'd be better tactically to go all in for Edvald than to rely on Henao having a chance vs Kwiatkowski on that finish.

Kwiat is scary good. Most complete rider in the peloton?

Yes.

Bakhjulet said:
Will Kwiat ride TdF again this year? If so, who will be captain: Uran or Kwiat?

He will, but most likely none of them, as OPQS are building a team around Cav for the Tour.

It isn't known if Uran will ride the Tour or Giro though.

I thought that Uran was brought in specifically because the sponsor wanted some GC exposure in le Tour (like a top ten result)

Who the hell is Vakoc? Decent from Andre Cardoso to finish close to the best riders and half decent from the World Champ as well.

Henao attacked first, probably solo. Kwia came up to him.
Then what to do?
The duo continued together with the Sky train taking the foot off the gas behind.

In any case it was better for the race overall imo.

Let's not forget it's February and Henao is training and wanted to go deep before Oman. Also Horner was 3rd from peleton on the climb.

lol. you are such a fanboy it's painful. just because ebh finishes 2nd in a meaningless race. this race is meaningless to sky as well. henao attacks to check his legs. ebh isn't their leader or something. he's lucky to still have a contract

Please tell me on how you're never biased towards Colombians...

I don't think you read what I wrote...

I replied to a guy who said that EBH would have won the race if not for Henao's attack, saying that we couldn't know that as we didn't know how strong he was on the climb.

How that makes me a fanboy is beyond me.

maybe you need to read my reply again. I answer to your claim that it would've been better to go for ebh instead of henao

Betancour, Uran and Quintana sure, but whom else has impressed us really? Duarte has been awful, Henao was sub par last year etc.
But yea, EBH has stagnated/woresened over the last couple of years.

Couple of years? He had a bad season last year, agreed.

However 2012 was by far his best year to date in terms of rankings as well as 2nd worlds. And in 2011 he got 2 Tour wins as well as few other good wins.

Maybe didn't live up the hype, but seriously, he only had one bad year last year and thats it so far.

ok, he was awful last year, and I guess his 2012 season was overshadowed by his work for Wiggo in the tour (2011 with his tour wins is what I think of when I think about EBH in great shape)

No, I said that given the race situation (Henao in a break with Kwiatkowski), it would've been better to aim for a bunch sprint with EBH. Even you will have to admit that Henao had close to zero chance of beating Kwiatkowski after they had passed the top of Puig Major. It's not like he'll beat him in a sprint.

Before the race, however, Henao was definitely a more logical bet.
