looking at the way alberto has improved his time trial,i will say he will be a beast not in just the last itt(where he will probably be the freshest, after 3 weeks it's all about recovery) but i think he will be top three even in the first one.
it's good for him that there are people who fuel him with rage.

lol nothing to read in that contador's statement,of course he wanna put all the pressure on cadel, but it is also showing of respect,he's the 2011 winner.but don't believe it really.

Bruyneel hinting about dividing up the schlecks for the GTs. Chance for a GT-GC win just increased drastically for the RadioSchlecks!

From what Johan said in the interview (he mentioned just Andy regarding the TdF parcours), if either of the brothers is going to the Giro, it's Frank. If so, Frank will probably get the better deal as he has a chance of winning.

If that's the case- then JBruyneel is putting the house in order- He knows better he has to stop that "Brotherhood BS" between then & maximize a GT win on all fronts-plus they have the men power available to do well-both in Italy & France. I guess that's the only good thing about having the Hog as DS....:D

Some comments....
Team Frandy will never win a GT: Tour, Giro or Veulta

Why?? They can't descend and they can't TT, add in the mental inability to race competitivley they have little chance. They had their chances to win the Tour in 2010 and 2011, they blew it. Unless an organiser throws a parcours that has loads of MTFs, no descents and less than 25km TT. I have a huge respect for Andy's attack on the Galibier stage this year but he needs to learn that he has to do that as often as he can to make up for his dire abilities against the clock. Oh hang on they did that......

Even if he does this, if he can't shake Berto he will always be second to him. As a GT racer Contador is much more the complete article than Frandy and while they might improve in every necessary facet......don't you think Berto will as well????

2012 - If Berto is there he will win the race, if not then Cuddles.

It will be interesting to see how Andy fares in a GT without Contador racing. Even with a weakened Conti this year, he still seemed to be overly paranoid about what Contador might do, rather than attack Cadel or Voeckler. Without Bertie, he'll either find someone else to worry about and constantly look to follow, or he might succeed in taking control of a race in the mountains and therefore (partially) taking his woeful TT out of the equation. Whether this is the Giro or a Tour without Contador (CAS dependent), who knows. Obviously it would sensible for at least one of the brothers to do the Giro, but I can't see them doing it willingly.

Totally agree. Andy was totally paranoid with Contador and when he was going to attack. Contador lost him this year's Tour without him even realising Evans was his biggest threat.

Should Andy ride the Giro this year - yes, to win. And then see how that takes him into the Tour.

Andy is a total idiot if he keeps beating his head against the wall trying to win the most overrated bicycle race in the world instead of Giro or/and Vuelta.

To be honest, I don't even see Andy winning the Giro.

You really believe that? If he went in fully prep'd with a team to match, it would be a huge surprise if he didn't win IMO.

I still don't see him commiting to anything until the Contador case is settled tho. Le Tour might just be too big a temptation for him w/o Bertie.

I would love for Andy (or Frank for that matter) to race the Giro now, but I think his Tour-obsession will make him wait until after he wins Le Tour (if he ever does).

If Contador is allowed to race I think Andy will be one of the only ones to be able to make next years Tour at least a little interesting though... so I'm torn

If contador is allowed to race next year's tour that race will end in the first speed bump. period.

Well... you were wrong right throughout last years Tour with your predictions, so we can safely rule out Contador.

Hard to decide who has the most talent for being so consistantly wrong when it comes to TDF predictions, yourself or Ryo??

are you crazy? do you want to die?

Obviously i don't know if the organization will screw him again, if someone is going to take him down again, etc.

if you are stupid or blind enough that it makes you unable to understand this.. well, that's you problem sunshine.

Andy Schleck's only hope could be that a French climber like Rolland becomes a serious contender. I'm not saying that will happen anytime soon, or at all, but I can't rule it out.

Otherwise there's little chance that we'll see a 2011-ish route again that all but ignores individual time trialing, IMO.
