So I take it you have never broken any law ever? Never rolled through a stop sign, parked where you shouldn't, broken the speed limit, lied about anything, etc, etc.....? Pull the other one, it's got bells on!

So now speeding is on the same level as doping in sports. What a desperate crowd.

This is an incredibly simplistic view. Most rational people understand that doping is not the sole ethical measure of a person.

It's the latest fanboy tactic. Moral equivalency.

Everyone cheats so just leave Lance alone. Pathetic.

We need an indictment to focus on. :)

agreed. so when do people think ms. larner, the co-owner of the restaurant, called armstrong ? did she know that armstrong was coming or was it a 'preemptive' friendly call ?

to remind, armstrong was out of town all day and the encounter happened around 10 in the evening.

Now, to compare one man who used doping products for a limited time, confessed to his usage, and moved on with his life versus a man who used his doping to enrich himself beyond any cyclist in history (some of that money coming from his prostitution of cancer and cancer patients), who paid the UCI to cover his doping, who tried, and was partially successful in destroying the lives of people who merely told the truth about what they knew of his doping, who beat us over the head with how "clean" he was, who made snide comments about others who were caught (donkey's and all...), and who continues to lie in the faces of everyone he can reach...well yea, that latter man is in a different class, and only someone with an agenda sees it differently.

One drives 5 mph over the speed limit on the highway while keeping up with traffic, the other drives 100 mph while drunk in a school zone. Most can see that while they both are speeding there is a difference.

Tell us, how many user names have you been banned for here?

Frankie was driving faster than 5mph over the limit.
And Lance was not drunk doing 100 in a school zone.

Frankie and Lance had much in common doping wise.
Stopped using EPO at about the same time most likely, if you believe Floyd.

Either all or none..if you defend dopers like Andreau, then you also must defend Pharmstrong (and I won't do that)..either all or none..
I don't "defend" Andreu's or anyone's doping, all dopers in any sport are technically cheaters, but to say that Frankie's reasons for doping are the same as Armstrong's is absurd. And I have a lot more respect for those who admit to their doping than I do for those who continue to deny it. If Armstrong had come clean when Landis spoke out - like Riis did under the pressure put on by d'Hont's revelations - then I'd have a lot more respect for him. But Armstrong chose, and continues to choose, to treat you and I and everyone else like we're stupid. Can't see any reason to respect that.

WTF???!!!! The part of my post you deleted was on topic. This place is getting freaking ridiculous. I get banned for admitting I was wrong about something and then apologizing for it by Susan. Now you delete part of my post that directly relates NOT ONLY to the person I quoted, but the discussion that has been going on for several hours now.

This is ridiculous moderation. Simply absurd.

Nice try - no-one has "defended' Andreu's doping.

What has been pointed out is the proper context in how he doped and others doped - which is something you would understand if you were really 'anti-doping'.

Lol.
A lot of paranoid forummembers here.
:D
So because I choose to not applaude Andreu, Floyd and Tyler = Must be a Lance fanboy and banned from this forum..

Believe it or not, it's possible to dislike both Lance and his enemies.

Yeah absolutely. If you purchase the domain ( or someone on this website). Like you say the joke might only be "got" by people in the cycling society .. bt yeah I can set it up and I am kee. Anything to make fun of Armstrong/Livewrong :D PM me if you want to get it going :)

I gust checked livewrong.org the domain is on "backorder", which means someone has opportunely bought the domain already. which sucks. so im all open to ideas about a new domain, although the effect would be lost it seems without having livewrong.org. anyway pm me if interested etc ^^

Again nice try - no-one has applauded Frankie, Floyd or Tyler for doping but for (in some cases finally) admitting their past.

Anti Doping, if you get an invite with LAnce to Ride for the Roses, they give him and his entourage a complimentary bottle of Cristal.

Susan

It is called "illustration," and it is quite common in writing. Yea, his illustration was ridiculous, but not more so than THOUSANDS of other posts that are still visible to everyone. Capricious and arbitrary seems to be moderation Gestalt here.

Agreed.
And comparing doping to speeding 5 mph over the speed limit is just as ludicrous. That's the point I tried to make.

Yea, yea, yea, we hear that mantra all the time from people who never seem to criticize Lance and only criticize those who criticize Lance...which ALSO HAPPENS TO BE a trait of several posters who have been banned. You'll have to excuse me if I fail to find your post a compelling argument for you being anything but that which you have been accused.

Actually, your argument is the one that compares speeding 5 mph over the speed limit to doping most closely. Your suggestion is that all dopers are the same, no exceptions. As I said earlier, society functions precisely because we do differentiate between intent, culpability, and motivation for the same basic action. It is a basic building block for human progress. Welcome to mankind.
