Armstrong, according to his Tweet, is not sailing "there" (Grenadines) but sailing "around".

Unless he comes within the Grenadines territorial jurisdiction he is not required to produce his US passport.

However, if his vessel is not flying the US flag then he can be deemed to be in the nation of that flag and in breach of his travel restrictions, if any. No flag deems the vessel to be a suspect pirate ship/boat.

If Lance wants to break some maritime laws he get a boat ride from the guy from Whale Wars, that would take care of everything. This is like Al Capone getting it for tax evasion, you guys are probably going to try and get him on fishing without a license if nothing else works

Its been a very long time since Lance has appeared in a mainstream press interview or on TV telling us he's clean...... I miss him. I miss awareness.

A year and a half since Floyd's public revelations about USPS doping occurring more than six years ago in foreign countries .... using a deemed taxpayer funded US corporation that allegedly breached numerous US Fed laws to conduct the doping.

Also you have to bring into the equation the ownership and governance of the US teams "Discovery" (2005 - Armstrong and 2006-2007) and "Radioshack" (2010) and possible similar repeat conduct with doping.

He appeared at TedMed and at a Haarvard Symposium recently.
And he has finished filming his SuperBowl Michelob Ultra spot.
So you may have to wait until Superbowl Sunday to see him.
20 times at least.

Unless he is perp walked before the SuperBowl.
Could happen you know. But these things DO take time.
By Valentines Day maybe. St Pats.

F&F out of context.

Skippy was gloating that LA was entitled to travel to far off lands (with his US passport) as evidenced by his Tweet and therefore claims that he had been restricted in his travel were BS.

I am certain LA was provided with proper legal advice about his travel.

On the subject of legal advice. Are you aware that Livestrong operated from January 1997 to December 1997 raising donations without the mandatory tax exempt approval from the IRS?

Appears business savvy LA and his professional advisers were not aware until October 1997 an application and approval from the IRS was required before donations could be sought.

Lance is a malignant tumor. Now that he's gone, I get to see other tumors win. I'm aware!

Oh yeah, the feds are eagerly going after bike racers who dope!

And "using a deemed taxpayer funded corporation . . ."? That must be the 'Lance as an evil mastermind theory' that the feds are now deploying against bike racing dopers!

Blah, blah, blah . . . more of the same. Obviously because Lance is being investigated (for something) he will inevitably be charged (with something).

I can't tell if you are kiddin'? Do you think that the profit or non profit status is an issue to anybody? IRS included? The paperwork error will be corrected with a checkbook probably done over lunch Armstrong's treat

Per Wikipedia

Team RadioShack is a professional road bicycle racing team, with RadioShack as the title sponsor, the creation of which was announced on July 23, 2009. Lance Armstrong co-owns and leads the team, which plans to race in the Grand Tours and the UCI ProTour, as well as running and triathlon events. The team is managed by Capital Sports and Entertainment, an Austin, Texas sports and event management group that also manages the Trek-Livestrong U23 development cycling team and that ran the former Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team.

The Feds are not going after bike racers that dope but are targeting Lance Armstrong who happens to be a bike racer who is alleged to have partaken in dope.

And if there is evidence that Radioshack, Discovery and US Postal were all breaching US Federal laws in conducting their respective doping programs then Armstrong's ownership and direction of those teams would incriminate him in breaching those laws.

Another bribe? ;)

It is an issue to donors if they have claimed a donation as being tax deductible and are disallowed that deduction by the IRS with penalties.

The law is specific that a foundation cannot accept donations until after IRS approved tax exemption status has been granted.

So Lance Armstrong is now a target! When did the feds disclose that piece of information? I certainly haven't seen it.

"And if . . . " Yeah!

And if there is evidence that Postal, etc. were importing Zimbabwean monkey meat, then Armstrong's "ownership and direction" would incriminate him in that, too.

Chef Duffy would do wonders even with Zimbabwean Monkey Meat I bet.
Maybe a stew. Maybe a taco salad.
But it would be delicious AND nutritious. Genius. Maestro. Yum.
Now I am hungry grrrr.

I would suggest then you use your legal expertise to advise LA on action against multiple media outlets who falsely refer to the Fed investigation as the "Armstrong Investigation".

Here are a sample:

Bicycling Magazine
Velonation
CyclingNews
Telegraph (UK)
Velonews
Sports Illustrated
New York Sports

If (Tailwind Sports trading as) US Postal were committing Fed crimes to import Zimbabwean monkey meat whilst LA was a director, shareholder and micro-manager then .....

You don't need any legal opinion. You rely on sportswriters! Good luck with that!

Armstrong received notice he was a target of the Qui Tam Case over a year ago....do you really think he is not a target or are you just playing around?

There is no indication that Armstrong is the target of a federal grand jury. The reference was to criminal prosecution.

I wish Floyd's qui tam the best. It would be nice to see some of Lance's dope-spawned wealth spread to Floyd, the poor dope.

If there is room for serious discussion here . . . I haven't found the room.

Does not a Federal criminal prosecution that could possible result in the accused being sentenced for more than 1 year require indictments from a Federal Grand Jury?

I must admit serious discussion is difficult with the likes of Polish, Cobblestoned & like minded.

Maybe they can send it over to Cache Cache and allow Tyler to prepare it. He won't need an oven or stove though, as revenge is a dish best served cold.

Really? Funny how all the people who talked to the Grand Jury said they asked a lot of questions about Lance. Must have just been because they are fans or something

So the way it's playing out for you is that now the IRS is letting Lance slide? Or they allowed an organization to continue to raise millions for over a decade knowing that there was incomplete tax information. This is Madoff stuff.
I am sure as Armstrong is jetting around putting a face on cancer awareness via fun rides and photo ops he has little concern about the status of his passport or visas, sure he has a competent staff member to get it sorted out.Although I can't remember which state it was there was an IRS inquiry about funds raised from bake sales that were done daily for close to year raising cash for charity

"All the people" . . . who talked to the grand jury! Wow! You really do know everything. Or maybe there's a leak in the grand jury?

You didn't really mean "all the people," did you? Or are you just playing around?

Do you seriously believe Armstrong is not a target or are you just playing semantic games online?

I have no way of knowing whether or not Armstrong is the target of a federal criminal grand jury investigation. A "target" is a specific thing, when you talk about a grand jury.

But, I claim no secret information source that allows me to relate the experience of "all" the people who appeared before the GJ.

Seriously? Here? You've gotta be kidding!
