  • Rides his first Paris Roubaix at the age of 31.
  • Wins the whole thing.
Colbrelli has always been godlike in bad weather and better on the climbs that are a few min long than the really short ramps, so him being good at this kind of efforts makes sense.
The guy attacked with 90kms to go, you can't blame him for riding smart later on.

VDP's eagerness to work got him on the podium but cost him the win, whereas Colbrelli gambled and won after being very close to costing them both a chance at the win.

MvdP did too much work but that's always going to be his burden. Colbrelli raced smarter, you could see he was sandbagging a bit here and there.

MvdP should win this race in the future.

Gutted for Moscon and not just because I'd backed him ew at 125-1

Would have loved it for Vermeersch to hold on.

Mathieu is going to have to try and drop the fast men.

And you could see Sonny follow some of MVDPs accelerations with the look of ease on the bike. He looked strong all day.
Yep. Exactly the reason I would have liked to see him pull through more often and longer but that's not on him and it certainly paid off. Honestly I was surprised Mathieu didn't insist on him coming through in that long period when they were chasing before they caught Vermeersch.
