“It’s irrelevant [to the application]. After the 15th of October, any riders added don’t give you ProTour points. It’s tough,” he says flatly. “If Richie Porte had been an option, or Cancellara got on board, or Michael Rogers had seen us as relevant, [there was a] very, very good chance that only one of those guys would have been the difference for us to be in the ProTour.” “There’s three more guys I’d like to add,” says White, “but to go to 25 as a Pro Continental team could be... somewhat problematic.”
Seems some friction between Rogers and White.
ingsve said:I can totally understand Rogers. Going to Pegasus at this point in time is nothing less than charity for any rider with ambitions. Even if they had managed to sneak into the PT it would be a step down for anyone who has a solid place in another PT team. They are not in a position to support anyone with high hopes.
The only type of riders they could possibly get is exactly what they have gotten, Old riders that have passed their prime, domestiques that are interested in riding for their own results or riders that are no longer needed by their former team.
Kind of harsh on a guy who has just had the most successful year of his career.RedZone said:That description kinda fits Rogers?

So who are the top tier stage racers at Sky? Löfkvist and Wiggins aren't stronger than Rogers... he'll probably get to ride the same races as he did at HTC, and he'll be team leader in them.RedZone said:Perhaps, but Rogers has little chance of achieving more than he did this year, and winning a 2.HC event against two waning American riders hardly sends shockwaves through the cycling world.
He would have got paid handily for joining pegasus, and would have done a good service for the future of Australian cycling. That is probably a better legacy than he will stamp being a second tier rider at Sky in 2011.

Trouble is, after saying they were pretty sure and had been told they were pretty certain to get a pro tour place, do you believe he has invites to all the northern classics?auscyclefan94 said:Chris White has said that Pegasus already has a race plan of 250 days already and that they have invites already to most the northern classics!![]()

Trouble I have is Im finding it a bit hard to take anything he says seriously at the moment.
I think there's no problem for the nothern classics , McEwen , Tuft , Knees, Traksel , Cornu and Hunter are well know and with Redant they have someone that everboby in cycling respected . For the small stage races they have McEwen and Hunter for the sprints and Tuft for the time trial , Ok they have nowbody for the GT but except Schleck ,Contador( ?) , Nibali , Basso and Menchov who can win a GT ? After all it's only the winner that countsTeamSkyFans said:Trouble is, after saying they were pretty sure and had been told they were pretty certain to get a pro tour place, do you believe he has invites to all the northern classics?
