Milan went out too fast. It looks like he will be beaten by Philipsen today.
Edit: He did just manage to hold onto his lead, which had been almost 8 seconds at T1.

I knew Segaert could do this, but still impressed. Great win. A Lotto TT win is also a bit of a miracle.

Wonder who is the surprise that's gonna beat him at u23 worlds this time haha. No seriously if he manages to lose this year, I don't know anymore.

Chapeau Segaert & Lotto! He came 2nd to Wellens in the Belgian National TT so a nice "revenge win". Tops the GC too so leader's jersey as well. Some good news for Lotto today then.

The best news is that he can also survive a classic stage, though maybe it won't be enough to follow the big guns on the last day. Not sure how close he can stay.

Ineos has a few cards to play. Specifically Sheffield and Turner.

If it was the same stage as previous years (like just 3 times the local circuit) I would be pretty confident, but with the harder version and the pretty high level field here I don't think Segaert stands a chance. He will be Dropped on every Muur (even with good legs, due to bad positioning alone already), and maybe Lotto can save him a few times (decent team here tbh), but not every time. I expect the team to also go for stage with De Lie honestly (and probably let him follow the best), don't think they're gonna take away a chance from the grumpy man.

Mathieu almost crashed in a corner, just holding up and stayed out of the barriers. Backwheel started slipping. You can see the video on Eurosport insta, don’t know how to post it here.

Great win for Segaert and nice to see Sheffield finishing a TT without crashing along the way.

Expected a bit more from Milan and Pollitt.

This race is dreadful these days. Benelux Tour was a race I always loved, 8 days of pure classics with a lot of asphalt and cobbled bergs. Basically we got a opportunity to see a mini Maastricht Gold race and a mini Flanders in the same race. Now we have sprint stages and one day for classicomanos.
True. It often had a proper Ardennes stage and a flemish classics´ stage.
