this is so ridicolous. getting even more damaging for cycling. and the UCI is the biggest joke. positive on clenbuterol is positive, nobody cares whether it's from a steak or dope. it's the law. why does the UCI always change the law for certain riders? and then we have not yet covered the plasticizers that were strongly indicative of transfusions...

a peleton full of dope and lies. sad sport. but just a mirror of its ruling body.

well it's not a LAW; its a RULE. and if they rule is flawed shouldn't it be changed? you probably got some clen in your system right now

I love the quote

I am sure that receipt will turn up somehow - if they want it to LOL

I have issue with the exact same quote. What does "if they want it to" mean? It means they'll photoshop a receipt if they have to.

The Bald Eagle says "Who would keep a receipt for a steak?...Well this also begs the question about the origin of this Phantom piece of steak. And how the heck does one prove that it was tainted with clenbuterol."

Professional cycling teams are a business. They depend on sponsorship money so you keep every receipt for everything for the proverbial accountant! Astana's cook knows exactly where this steak came from because he arranged for a friend to purchase it and bring it to France. Clenbuterol is commonly found in beef products. Cool your cynicism. :D

I thought it was probably a bad translation so I checked the original, and lo and behold, that's pretty much what he said:
Ahora todo el mundo está buscando la factura. El ticket existe y lo tiene Astana y aparecerá si quieren que sea así

How about Alpe D' Huez From the the Foot of the climb at the pdf portal building to the Summit of the climb at the end of the avenue del nerf. First attempt 56 minutes and 37 seconds clean. And I am not claiming that I am AS fit as Tour Riders because My Vo2 Max is only 68. But Yes the climbs are easy. If one is fit. THAT is the point I AM making is that these climbs are relatively easy. So If I find them easy then it stands to sense that the pros find them easy. From Bourg D' Oisans over the Easy Lautaret. Into Briancon. Then climb up The Col D' IZOARD. Back to Briancon over the Lautaret a second time and back into Bourg d'OISANS. Three cols over 2000 meters on the same ride. 107 Miles in 6 Hours and 25 minutes. In driving rain 3 degrees on top of the cols. Strong winds. Shivering My **** of on long descents. Was i tired after that no. Was I tired the next day no. Was I riding in the shelter of a bunch No. Did I take dope no. Was it easy yes. If You Train hard. I do not live there. So I did not get a chance to improve My NOT SO GREAT TIME ON THE ALPE. Pity because I am capable of a sub 50 min ride for that climb . Have I any thing against the Yanks. Hell Not at all. I am not that type of person. I love America and the Americans. Gee chill out dudes. In fact I plan to Go there in the Future to Ride up Mount Evans. What does that top out at 14,000 odd feet straight up from Idaho Springs. Now that would be Just Great.

You, sir, are an ignoramus.

Nicholaaaas Did You ever climb the tourmalet or any Alpine or Pyrenean Col. I did. 17 times over 2000 METERS on various Cols throughout Europe. I was not riding like a Tourist either. But these cols are quite easy for any one who is Fit.
I found them easy. They are not as difficult as one imagines. I felt the same at 9000 Feet as I did as sea level. No problem with altitude. Any one who resorts to dope is a wuss. And I certainly was not doping . For starters I WOULD NOT be that stupid. And I certainly could not afford it. I have to say that the above post from You is what is referred to as Typical Yankee Bull over here in Europe.

....rofl delusion:rolleyes:

Relativism as it relates to fitness is your problem.

For an elite rider to ascend L'Alpe in 56 minutes is not hard. It is (probably) for you. Riding it in 40 minutes is very hard for an elite rider, and impossible for you.

To think that it is "easy" for elite riders, the fitter they get, to perform their racing or training on challenging terrain cheapens and diminishes the difficulty of their effort. This is ignorance at its best.

To borrow an old cliche, "If it was EASY, everyone would do it."

Fit or fat, hard effort is hard effort. Maximum is maximum, pain is pain, no matter the VO2.

This reminds me of a scene in Analyze this where a goon is killed by being thrown from a window or some such. The lead Boss then asks his gangster if they found a suicide note. The gangster, sitting in a chair with a pen and paper replies "well find it".

Did You Ever Ride Alpe D'HUEZ. I will bet Your fat **** You Did not. I could ride Alpe d' Huez in SAy Maximum 48 min with more training. There are very few people even capable of riding the alp in under an hour. And any rider who has ridden alpe D'hUEZ IN 40 minutes or so is obviously on epo. Any thing under say 43 minutes is suspicious. 45 MINUTES for contador in the dauphine. 53 for menchov. I will gaurantee You that You could not ride the alp in under an hour. Yes 56 minutes it was easy i said that. But under 50 Yes no problem whatsoever for me. One ride sprinting out of the saddle to the summit on a 53- 17. Have You ever ridden the alp. as I SAID i RODE THE ALP ONCE . tHESE gUYS ARE RIDING THESE SORT OF CLIMBS since they were in their teens. I would hesitate to provoke me with ignorant as an answer in future as ignoant I ain't. NAD YES SUPER FIT BOTH PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY MORE THAN yOU WILL EVER know. As a matter of fact 19 ,45 is my best for a ten mile time trial. NOw that aint bad could You match that. AND BELIEVE ME i KNOW WHAT IT IS LIKE TO SUFFER ON A BIKE. and PRO CYCLISTS THEY DON'T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT YOU OR I. tHEY ARE NOT GODS.!!
