It seems like Pog wants to hit the limit of realism but Ving doesn't give a rats ass anymore. I wonder if Pog can realistically do something that affects him enough in this short time frame. I see mention of blood bags, but i assume those are already in play... Maybe a higher powered motor, If vingegaard is pushing 20W higher than he expected.

I can actually imagine that. But not because he is 30s stronger but Jumbo/Vingegaard managing the media backlash by faking weakness. Its honestly a sensible thing for them to do. Would do the same.
More like 5-10 second gap then

Pog is way past the limit of realism. People are just used to it now. If you showed his palmares from the last few years to someone from 5 years ago, they would say those results are impossible in the modern era.

Yeah, with realism i wasn't talking about clean possible. I was more pointing to making the difference with the other riders within a certain bound of 'acceptable'

But I'm not sure it is. Beating specialists at their own game in their super peaks at their season goals, from february to october isn't really 'acceptable' I'd say. It's as crazy as what Vingegaard is doing, just more spread out.

We dont really see this much anymore, but any chance pog had an emergency bloodblag that turned out bad? Pretty sure alot of the 200x bonks were due to that

And now Pogačar is human & normal again.

I know people will scoff at this comment but that's... how cycling works. There's no miracle, i.e. la rançon de la gloire ("the price of fame" as the French call it) in cycling is total suspicion of wrongdoing when the gaps are massive & the first opponent gets annihilated.

Ullrich is a case study: doped to the gills yet at the time became the 'human visage' of cycling (& enjoyed some popular support at the side of the roads) whilst a cyborg massacred him again & again every July. There's no secret here & Jumbo are deluding themselves if they think their propaganda in which Vinge blows kisses to the crowds & embraces his wife & kid over the finish line will somehow protect him from the role of cycling baddie.

Yep, Jumbo & Vingegaard are now the bad guys. That's the price they pay for dominating in the manner they now dominate, whilst Pog earns the 'human' tag of a rider who is seen suffering on a bike.
