It's an entry-level callout used by Cyclingnews to give added weight to possible doping accusations. Not the guy's fault of course, that's true. My negative response is based on the fact that this is not journalism, but it's being presented as such.
Absolutely not, I'd actually welcome it. Better than the "they ride fast, hence they must be doping" argument I read here a lot (basically the only argument).
Problem with that is Wout having that short turnaround after Northern Classics season where he'd want to peak for Flanders, Roubaix et al.

Considering Jumbo's dominance and mantra, like former Sky, of being more professional, more scrupulous, more advanced in methodology, bla, bla, bla, he's just fired at the target when it suddenly appeared. It's not jingoistic, but only responding to the opportunity that was too good/evident to ignore. I think everybody is thinking the same thing, regardless of nationality: another little fish got popped, but not the stars, nothing to see here, move on. Except he decided to advance a bit of devious mockery.
A team rider literally just got caught doping. That seems to be another argument for why they are doping. But apparently mentioning that is also problematic.
That certainly seems to be an argument, although we still don't know any details of the case. I think the sceptics should be happy that it's a German, so the authorities get involved, personal belongings like his laptop and so on have been confiscated, and surely if there's some kind of doping program going on at Jumbo, we'll find out all about it! In the absence of proper journalism, it's the best we can hope for.

I think, after all these years, it's fair to say not getting busted is meaningless.(of course if it turns out there isn't, you still won't believe it
