Thanks for the update.

Apparently I had a decent week and actually moved up a few spots. Plus the bottom 9 riders on my team are all in positive territory along with 7 other riders and 2 riders who are very close to positive territory. Plus I know I have some points coming from this week.
Yes you do have a bunch of points coming :) .

For me, only Pinot scored more than 5 points, and I was expecting better from him  . 6 spots down, but I shall have my revenge :) .

I had expected a bit more from both Pinot and Bardet. However, Pinot at least looked like he's close to being in good form for the Tour. Yeah, a stage win and the leaders jersey is a nice way to start the second half of the season for Valverde even if it's a small race instead of a big race. I have a few riders at Suisse who should at least get me points for having been there.

We couldn't have a ranking without MADRAZO in it now, could we? The weekly winner vaults into the top 10, bumping Tigerion out in the process. Karaev almost doubles what fauniera scored this week, so we have a new challenger to the throne. skidmark's lead over 2nd place extends significantly and is now almost 300 points.

Spreadsheet at dropbox

Had to happen eventually but still a bit of a downer to drop out of the top 10

I have Bernal so I hope I will get the first place next week. Starting the tour in the yellow jersey would be a great honor ... Kamna also looks great in Switzerland! I thought he is a TT specialist but it seems he can also climb... Aru also looks better than expected. However I have 3 guys that really hurts my team in Cav,Power and Kittel...

Kämna is 181cm tall and 65kg, I the u23 ranks he beat TT specialists who were often a lot heavier than him and a good climber, so people actually expected him to become a bit like Klöden when it comes to his skillset.
I also have him and Aru,even Conci could end up scoring some nice points and I'm hoping for a Küng win tomorrow. Kittel scored some points durning the early season and Cav was rather cheap, I also have them on my team, but I never saw them as really bad picks because of their rather low price.
I had Cimolai, Vendrame and Kudus on my list, I regret not picking those guys.

Having someone save your week is always a good thing.

Update #24: VeloRooms on top

The Tour de Suisse week is historically one of the highest scoring weeks outside GTs, and this seems to be the case now as well. There were plenty of Tour de France warm-up races to choose from this week, and a young Colombian seems to be the hottest at the moment.

This Week's Top Scorers

Rank Team Points this week
1 VeloRooms 939
2 Josedin 933
3 Jon_Ezeitza 904
4 karaev 872
5 minessa 805

The VeloRooms team runs away with it this week – just! Bernal (422 pts) is the big hitter of course, but Vlasov (120) in Slovenia, Betancur (93) and Mas (82) in Switzerland and Hodeg (80) in Belgium also make strong contributions for the winning team. Josedin follows just 6 points behind, having most of their expensive riders score points (Bernal, Philipsen, Sosa, Pogacar, Hodeg), and almost none of the cheaper ones. Jon_Ezeitza also scores more than 900 points, mainly from the same riders as Josedin save for Pogi. It's also worth noting karaev in 4th place, more on that later...

This Week's High Movers

Rank Team Up/down
1 Joelsim (+24)
2 Josedin (+22)
3 Jon_Ezeitza (+20)
4 trackstand (+16)
5 bminchow (+13)
5 Mellow Velo (+13)
5 zlev11 (+13)
5 shalgo (+13)

The two podiuming Js are once again beaten to top price, this time by another J: Joelsim. Bernal is once again the name of the game, with Philipsen also chipping in with good points for Joelsim.

Green Jersey Competition

Rank Team Total
1 MADRAZO 185
2 armchairclimber 175
3 skidmark 171
4 ruvu75 166
5 TheArt 160

Nothing happening here. The closest action is fauniera moving up to 9th place in this competition.

Top 10 Overall

Rank Up/down Team Points
1 (+1) karaev 8762
2 (+1) fauniera 8573
3 (-2) skidmark 8545
4 (+1) Kryvo 8181
5 (-1) Object 8122
6 (-) ruvu75 8077
7 (-) TheArt 8051
8 (-) Nyssinator 7936
9 (+1) DFA123 7891
10 (+10) SafeBet 7806

This is where the other big news of the week are found. skidmark lead the game by almost 300 points last week, but nothing can be taken for granted in this game. karaev is the new leader, outscoring the former leader by almost 500 points on the week courtesy of Bernal and Vendrame and a smattering of other points. fauniera makes skidmark's week even worse by moving into 2nd (again due to Bernal). SafeBet also has a huge week and enters the top 10 from 20th place last week. MADRAZO falls out.

This update reminded me that I haven't paid any attention to the VeloRooms forum while doing updates. Does anyone want to take responsibility for getting this update across? They deserve to get their moment in the sun, especially as the team is still 5th from bottom. :D

How fast are you? Thanks for the update. It's the second time in a few weeks that i overtake the leader whithout taking the lead. :D

Vendrame is a hell of a pick. The rest of karaev's team also looks very good. I need Landa to have a good Tour. Plus some more Mathieu magic, please.

Dropped two spots, but not totally surprised as I didn't really have anyone at Suisse.

I must say I'm very happy having picked Coquard for my sprinter. Unfortunately, I was expecting more from my other sprinter, Lobato.

I dropped seven spots, not having a big gc scorer in the TdS really hurt me and both Kämna and Aru cracking after attacking wasn't great for me.
Hodeg and Carboni carried my team this week. For the NC I have Kung for both the tt and the rr in Switzerland and many Italian guys, the best bets are Ganna and Bettiol for the tt and Bettiol also for the rr.

Nice to be back in the top10. I don't think it's sustainable unless Bernal wins the Tour.
Choosing McNulty over Gaudu is killing me.

Yes, hell of a fast update. really looking forward to July. Karaev looks strong. My team compares to him until you see great picks like Gaudu and Lambrecht and some of the lower priced guys. I still have a lot to learn. Well done week.

I should post this under the what music are you listening thread...free falling, Tom Petty...

Dammit...I have some paying off, and others not doing anything. Meintjes should Haimar himself to some points...but he ain't! He's my scapegoat of the week.

Pinot wins the Nationals, Le Tour and 15 stages. That should get me in the top-50  .

I believe :) .

 However, I'll give you Pinot doing all that if you give me Valverde doing that for la Vuelta along with the Spanish Nationals. Might be enough to get me into the top 75.

Bernal's Tour de Suisse makes up for the disappointment of his missing the Giro. I am looking forward to seeing what Bernal and Ewan can do in the Tour. It's a shame that Gaviria is injured, however.

I wonder what the mountain goat Ben Swift has planned for the rest of the season.

I have seen stranger things happen at Ineos/Sky.

I'm pretty sure that Yorkshire boy Swift will focus on a certain race that takes place in Yorkshire. One that suits him pretty well.

Yeah that's actually the race I had in mind when picking him.
